    1. All game results and any questions on the standings need to be resolved prior to 10 pm on 3/6/09 at which time the brackets for the tournament will be seeded. Seedings will be available on the morning of March 7th.

    c. The bracketed number next to each team name in the first game denotes the seed number for that team.

    2. Teams cannot use players from any other teams including lower levels.

    3. The 5th & 6th Grade playing time rules for the tournament are modified to be that each player must play at least one quarter of every game with a minimum of two four consecutive minute stretches.

    4. For the 5th & 6th Grade Division the rule for player positioning along the key will be modified the tournament. The defensive players closest to the basket will be positioned below the block instead of above the block. The offensive players will be positioned above the block followed by the last defensive players.

    5. The higher seeded team in each game is the Home team and will be responsible for the official scorebook and clock operator.

    a. Coaches should have knowledgeable scorekeepers and clock operators lined up to work prior to the game.
    b. Scorekeepers for each team should be located on their respective team's bench.
    c. After each quarter the two scorekeepers are to review the books and resolve any discrepancies. If there is no agreement the Home team book is considered correct.
    d. Scorekeepers should keep track of
    1. running game score.
    2. individual player fouls. Notify referees when a player has five personal fouls. At halftime they should draw line past the last foul for each player. This will help if there is a discrepancy in team fouls in a half.
    a. Illegal screens are personal fouls.
    b. Technical fouls count as personal fouls.
    3. team fouls for each half. Notify referees when either team has reached seven or ten team fouls in a half.
    4. time-outs for each team by half. If a team exceeds two in a half or 1 in overtime periods they should notify referee.
    e. They should ask the scorekeeper to blow horn to when needing to notify the referees.

    f. Clock operators should
    1. start clock
    a. on a jump ball when the ball is legally tapped.
    b. on a throw-in from out of bounds when the ball is touched by any player within the playing area of the court.
    c. on a free throw that is unsuccessful and the ball continues in play when the ball is touched by any player.
    2. stop the clock
    a. only on time-outs and foul shots during the first seven minutes of every quarter.
    b. on every whistle during the last minute of every quarter.
    3. signal referees by use of horn when
    a. players have reported for substitution.
    b. requested by score keepers.

    6. If at the end of regulation the game is tied a 4-minute overtime quarter will be played with running time until the last minute. If subsequent overtimes are needed they will be two minutes in length unless it is the finals which will continue to use 4-minute overtimes. There will be one time out per team allowed in each overtime.

    7. The decisions of the referees are final, there are no protests allowed.

    8. The WINNING team is responsible for reporting game results using the website, emailing or calling in results of games by noon of the following day. This information will be used to keep the online brackets up to date and facilitate communication if there is a change to the schedule for any reason. Information needed: Division, Winning Team, Losing Team, and score.
