2026 WSWA FS & GR State Championships (WA)
Nineteen NWWC wrestlers traveled to Spokane, WA over the weekend of May 1st to compete at the 2026 WSWA Freestyle & Greco-Roman State Championships. Over the course of the two tournaments, NWWC racked-up 125 matches and finished whith 60 victories, 21 individual medals, three individual State Titles and David Lakoduk of Port Orchard, age 14, earned the prestigious Triple Crown Award (2026 Folkstyle, Freestyle & Greco-Roman State Champion). Congratulations to all nineteen NWWC wrestlers.

Eight NWWC wrestlers traveled to Centralia, WA over the weekend of March 27th to compete for Team Washington at the 2026 USAW Northwest 16U/Junior Freestyle & Greco-Roman Regional Championships. Over the course of the two tournaments, NWWC wrestled 47 matches and finished with 20 wins, two medals and two berths in the 2026 USAW Junior Freestyle & Greco-Roman National Championships. The 2026 USAW Northwest 16U/Junior Regional Championships featured over 1300 wrestlers representing 24 states. Congratulations to all eight NWWC wrestlers.

Thirteen NWWC Blue Team wrestlers traveled across town to Olympic High School on Sunday, March 1st to finish the folkstyle wrestling season at the 2026 Joe Aiken League Championships. Over the course of the short tournament, NWWC wrestled 36 matches and finished with 15 wins, 12 medals, 4 individual championships and 2 biplane trophies for outstanding improvement over the season. Four NWWC wrestlers traveled to Centralia, WA on Saturday, February 28th to compete at the first freestyle & greco-roman wrestling tourament of the 2026 season, the CNWC Battle for the Belts. Over the course the day, NWWC wrestled 31 matches and finished with 25 wins, 12 medals and ten individual championships. Congratulations to all four NWWC wrestlers.

2026 WSWA Folkstyle State Championships (WA)
Thirty-six NWWC wrestlers traveled to the Tacoma Dome on Sunday, February 22nd to compete among Washington's top two-thousand folkstyle wrestlers at the 2026 WSWA Folkstyle State Championships (State). Over the course of the 12-hour tournament, NWWC racked up 126 matches, 67 wins, 36 wins by fall, 22 State medals and four individual State championships. Out of the 158 wrestling clubs in attendance, NWWC finished top-ten for the 11th year in a row. Congratulations to all thirty-six NWWC wrestlers.

Six NWWC wrestlers traveled to Eatonville, WA on Sunday, February 15th to compete among 500 other wrestlers at the 2026 Battle in the Woods, the last folkstyle tournament before State. Over the course of the day, NWWC wrestled 24 matches while earning 15 wins, 12 wins by fall, four medals and Noah Schimke of Port Orchard, age 11, finished first in the U12, 108-lb division. Thirty-six NWWC wrestlers welcomed over 300 athletes to Bremerton High School on Super Bowl Sunday (February 8th) for the 4th annual Northwest Folkstyle Challenge wrestling tournament. Over the quick course of four hours, NWWC racked up 125 matches and finished with 59 wins, 35 wins by fall, 24 medals and 7 individual championships. Congratulations to all 36 NWWC wrestlers.

NWWC's Blue & Gold team traveled to Port Orchard, WA on Friday, February 6th to take on the South Kitsap PeeWees and the North Mason Stingers for the third double dual of the 2026 Joe Aiken League wrestling season. Thirty-five NWWC wrestlers welcomed over 300 other athletes to the first annual BEOWULF wrestling tournament at South Kitsap High School on Sunday, January 18th. Four NWWC wrestlers traveled to Redmond, Oregon over the weekend of January 16th to compete at the 2026 Oregon Wrestling Classic. Over the course of the tournament, NWWC combined for 16 matches, 7 wins, 2 wins by fall and Carson Grooms of Port Angeles placed 6th in the 14U 92-lb division. Join us Sunday, December 28th for the camp on college wrestling mods. Level up with what works, what doesn't work and college-based modifications to improve wrestling from all major positions (top, bottom, neutral, front headlock). Camp is led by NWWC's Lars Michaelson of Bremerton. Michaelson is a 3X High School State Champion, a Dave Schults High School Excellent Award-winner and currently wrestles for Stanford University. 2025 Elma Folkstyle (WA)
Two NWWC wrestlers traveled to Elma, WA on Sunday, Decemember 28th to compete with over 250 other youth athletes at the 2025 Elma Folklstyle Tournament. Together, the tough two boys totaled six matches, four wins, two medals and Cylus Turner of Shelton, age 13, won the 14U, 118 lbs division. Congratulations to both NWWC wrestlers.

2025 Northwest Ultimate Wrestler (WA)
Sunday, December 21st was a fantastice day at the Kitsap Sun Pavilion in Bremerton, Washington where NWWC hosted it 13th annual Northwest Ultimate Wrestler tournament. Beginning with Coach Hoyt's pregame prayer and continuing with the presentation of the 2024-25 NWWC 100-Club winners, the 2025 Northwest Ultimate Wrestler ultimately delivered hundreds of tremendous matches featuring athletes from 46 clubs throughout the state. Over the course of 5 hours of competition, 34 NWWC wrestlers tallied up 121 matches, earned 55 wins and finished with 25 medals and seven individual championships, all behind the leadership of 26 NWWC coaches, an outstanding officiating crew and the best concession team in the business. Congratulations to NWWC, the awesome support and all 34 NWWC wrestlers.

WSWA Prarie Open (WA)
Eight NWWC wrestlers traveled to Yelm, WA on Sunday, December 14th to compete at the WSWA Prarie Open. Over the course of the day, NWWC wrestled 26 matches and finished the tournament with ten wins, five wins by fall, three medals and Ziona Zorer of Shelton, age 4, won the U6, 38-pound division. Congratulations to all seven NWWC wrestlers.

2025 WSWA Puget Sound Folkstyle Championships (WA)
Nine NWWC wrestlers traveled to Auburn, WA on Sunday, December 7th to compete among 236 athletes at the 2025 WSWA Puget Sound Folkstyle Championships. With impressive form, NWWC finished the tournament with 33 matches, 20 wins, six medals and three individual championships. Congratulations to all nine NWWC wrestlers.

2025 TOUGH GUY (WA)
Three NWWC wrestlers traveled to Buckley, WA on Friday, November 28th to compete at the 2025 Tough Guy wrestling tournament. Over the short day of competition, NWWC wrestled 9 matches. The 2024 Tough Guy tournament drew 627 athletes from 46 local wrestling clubs. Congratulations to all three NWWC wrestlers.

Seven NWWC wrestlers traveled to Centralia, WA on Sunday, Nov 23rd to compete at the 2025 Concede Nothing Folkstyle Battle. Over the fun day of competition, NWWC wrestled 24 matches and earned 16 wins, 8 medals, and 2 individual championships. Congratulations to all seven NWWC wrestlers.

2025 USAW Northwest Bigfoot Battle (WA)
Nine NWWC wrestlers traveled to Spokane, WA over the weekend of November 21st to compete among the top youth wrestlers in the Pacific Northwest at the 2025 USAW Northwest Bigfoot Battle. Over the tough day of competition, NWWC racked up 32 matches, 17 victories, four trophies and three finalists. Congratulations to all Nine NWWC wrestlers.

2025 WSWA Flood Valley Throwdown
Four NWWC wrestlers traveled to Chehalis, WA on Sunday, November 16th to compete at the inaugural WSWA Flood Valley Throwdown. Over the course of the day, NWWC wrestled 12 matches and returned home with nine wins, four wins by fall, three medals and two individual championships. Congratulations to all four NWWC wrestlers.

2025 Northwest Takedown Championships
Fifty-two NWWC wrestlers rolled out the red carpet on Saturday, November 1st to welcome all comers to the 5th annual Northwest Takedown Championships at Bremerton High School. Over the four hours of competition, NWWC wrestled 185 matches while earning 94 wins, 41 medals and 13 individual championships. Congratulations to all fifty-two NWWC wrestlers.

Twelve NWWC wrestlers traveled to Federal Way, WA on Sunday, October 26th to compete at the 2025 WSWA Kickoff Classic. Over the six hours of competition, NWWC wrestled 39 matches, recorded 21 wins and earned 10 medals and six individual championships. Congratulations to all twelve NWWC wrestlers.

2025 RMN Freakshow  (NV)
NWWC's William Moran of Gig Harbor, age 15, traveled to Las Vegas, NV over the weekend of October 18th to compete at the 2025 RMN Freakshow of wrestling. Over the two days of competition, Mr. Moran wrestled two age groups and 12 matches finishing with nine wins, four wins by fall and two medals. Congratulations to NWWC's William Moran.

Lions Den Championships | Folkstyle (WA)
Seven NWWC wrestlers traveled to Tacoma, WA on Saturday, October 18th to compete at the Lions Den Championships | Folkstyle. Over the short day of competition, NWWC wrestled 28 matches and brought home 16 wins, ten wins by fall, four medals and Finn Devine of Bremerton, age 17, finished first in the Junior 164-lb bracket. 2025 California World Challenge  (CA)
NWWC's William Moran of Gig Harbor, age 15, traveled to Fresno, CA over the weekend of October 11th to compete among 800 elite wrestlers from 195 clubs at the 2025 California World Challenge. Over the course of the tournament, Mr. Moran wrestled eight matches and finished with six wins, two wins by fall and the High School Freshman/Sophomore 150-lb championship. 2025 RMN Armageddon
Ten NWWC wrestlers traveled to Centralia, WA on Saturday, October 4th to kick off the 2025-26 Folkstyle wrestling season with some major competition at the inaugural RMN Armageddon Tournament. Over the course of the day, NWWC wrestled 45 matches and earned 24 wins, 11 medals and Colton Fernandez of Gig Harbor, age 11, finished first in the 12U 78-lb division.
