Field Status

Message shared from City of Mississauga:

We wanted to share with you that the sports field notification page has been launched: https://mississauga.ca/recreation-and-sports/sports-and-activities/sports/sports-field-closures-and-status/. Please bookmark it for quick reference so that you are able to check the status of the fields. The short URL is www.mississauga.ca/sportsfieldstatus.

Just a reminder that while we aim to be able to communicate with users when fields are unplayable due to rain, weather is often unpredictable and decisions will have to be made directly by the permit holder or delegate on site when poor weather occurs after business hours.

Please note, Mississauga Etobicoke Girls Softball is not responsible for the content on the City website. The City does not always publish closures of non-lit diamonds, even though they may be unplayable. If there is any question about the diamond you are scheduled to play on, please reach out to the home team to confirm that the diamond is playable.

Signs of a field that is unplayable

o   Visual puddling of water on the surface of the field

o   Water springing up around your  feet when you walk on the field
