| Rep baseball has been a mess in Brampton for a while now and will continue to get worse. My son got out 2 years ago and has had the best 2 years of his baseball life. He's happier and playing better with more confidence. Changes need to be made within BMBI and I hope soon but I don't expect it will change any time soon. Once a great and powerful organization now a complete joke at the rep level. BMBI is a house league driven organization and do a good job with that, but not good at all for rep baseball.

| You are quick to critisize, but give little into the reasons as to why and what. What is it about the association that is so messed up? Why did your son leave? What makes where you are better?

| Not being overly quick to pass judgement. Between my boys they played in BMBI for 12 years. They are both now out of Brampton minor baseball and happier.I helped out with the league in different rolls for years. There was a changing of the guard about 6 or 7 years ago and it has been all down hill ever since.
The league has become one that is driven to be a house league 1st organization. Thus as players get older and want better rep ball and ask to leave in search of it they are not allowed. BMBI will not allow it's players to leave unless they are cut by both the AAA and AA team or piss some one off enough. Is that really the way to do things.
BMBI will also have different rules for different coaches. Some will be allowed imports and some won't and it has nothing to do with the age they play at. Some younger teams have an import or two and some older teams are not allowed imports. There is no rime or reason to what they do except on how much they like or dislike the coach.
They league is now run by people who are trying to inflate their ego and not run a competitive rep program. The league is OK for house league not great just OK but very very poor on the rep side. SO if you want better rep baseball you are better off leaving Brampton, lots of people have done it in the past and I would suspect even more will do it in the future.
A change at both the over all top and at the rep level would be a good thing for BMBI.
There are a lot more example as I just scratched the surface. I had direct insight into the league for 10 years and believed in it whole heartedly even when it went in the wrong direct and just couldn't handle the decline any more.
Brampton has a reputation of driving out some of its best players and coaches. You need to look no further the a player who was recently drafted this year by an MLB team who once played and lived in Brampton but needed to get out and became a "Mississauga" resident. BMBI did all they could to destroy the player and make it almost impossible for him to leave until the parent split. Player plays in Mississauga for a few year then the PBLO and is drafted but BMBI wanted nothing to do with him other then to not allow him to play rep baseball. Great organization.
Also my Son wanted to leave because of the way his team was run and what was allowed to happen to both him and some of his team mate and when it was brought up to the league nothing was done except awarding the coach the team again. My son does not play at the 1995 age group, born a different year.

| Geez, that's really too bad. I thought that Brampton was going to be the next powerhouse next to the MNBA. It's unfortunate that a small few are allowed to hold power and drag it down. The ones that lose out are the players. My son has been with one association for 6 years and we have never had any issues. Oh there is always something, but never the drama that you hear going on at other associations. It's too bad that not everyone can have the same great experience we have had both the player and parents. Glad to hear that you've found fun and happiness.

| 1st time in history of the 95 age group that they did not qualify for Provincials. They were not even close.

| Unfortunately...I need to agree whole heartedly.
Brampton's rep ball has been dominated by coaches with ulterior motives for several years. Their insecurity of releasing players is a direct result in not treating them correctly. IF they would attract/choose the correct coaching staff...there remains much talent to be a powerhouse in Ontario.
