| 2012 USPL Fun Tournament
This is a friendly reminder that the Mid Season Tourney is on July 20/21. Let me know if you want to participate, or if you prefer to submit your own team.
· Location - Milliken 4 and 5
· Beer tent - Milliken Gazebo
· Cost - $30 per person
· Rosters - 5 members per current USPL team allowed on one team. (Minimum 12 players).
· All USPL rules apply with the exception of the following:
1. 1 Home Run hitter per game (when you hit the first HR that individual becomes the designated HR hitter). If someone else hits a HR the result is an out.
2. If you walk the home run hitter, the designation is removed until the next home run is hit.
3. 7 run mercy per inning with the last inning open.

| We have many big hitters in this league, so I would say the rule is good for the tournament. The beer is always cold and the fun is in abundance.

| This goes out to George V. I wanted to thank you for all the effort you put in this weekend. Being a volunteer is a thank less job. You did a great thing this weekend, and all the cudos and thanks should go out to you...It again was a great fun tournament.

| I agree with the organization of the weekend. Kudos to George, the BEST tournament of the year.
Are we going to do another one in August?
George should be USPLers of the year.

| USPL tourny was a lot of fun. In the future if you want more teams maybe asking the Markham Slo Pitch League to add a few teams would help. Also maybe they wont drink in the parking lot.

| buzz is Vos doesn't want to organize the Aug. tourney. Say it ain't so Joe...or should I say George.
I would like to try a new format if it does go ahead: Team captain gets one (or 2 at most) "exempt" picks, then the rest is just a random draw to perhaps better ensure an even draw. I suppose we'd have to have some kind of positional organization ie. pitchers, infielders, outfielders. Thoughts?

| Wonderful idea Jamie... now put it together !
Maybe we can draft teams by weight, S,M,L,XL,XXL... but I'd ask that we include a tug-o-war after each game !

| who are the captains? is it a draft or pick out of a hat? i can hold the hat if it's done at a local watering hole!
i like the idea, good call burt .. nice way to mix it up make it a bit more competitive
all players must participate in the beer tent, no parking lot beers allowed .. ahem ahem cough cough
