HOUNDS TAME QUAKERS

NBC played their third division game in three days as they visited Moorestown. Although some would believe that the hounds would be weary with this schedule, these yappers seem to be finding their stride at this time of the season. The energy of the team is at a consistent fever pitch and this has translated to a higher confidence level with the dawg pound. After Moorestown escaped the offense of the dawgs in the first, the second inning would not be as kind to the Quakers. Twelve barking canines came to the plate and scored seven runs on seven hits. They would send ten hitters to the plate in the fourth as they continued to work on their offense. While this was going on Gonzomatic was as efficient as a new car coming off of the assembly line. The senior hurler allowed only two hits over a five inning span as she continued her mound mastery. The final score of 12-0 reflected a team that seems to be rounding themselves into shape.
NOTE-JJ had quite the day as the sophomore outfielder had four RBI’S and two hits but her highlight had to be her fifth inning catch. Drop stepping and covering ground like a cheetah on the hunt, JJ reached far over her head to haul in a seemingly sure gapper and extra bases. Bergie and Siszie both contributed 3 hits to the attack. The hounds chalked up 16 hits on the day as they improved to 9-2.
