Bears defeat Patriots in game suspended by rain
Elijah Calvert and Zach Rothermel combined on a 1-hitter as the Bears defeated the Patriots in a Berks County game that was suspended by rain on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 with 2 outs in the top of the first inning. The Bears took advantage of 9 errors by Post 217 in winning the game, which ended with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. For the Bears, Cole Kratz had 2 hits and 3 rbis while Steve Colucci had a long double, was hit by a pitch, scored twice, and stole two bases. Sean Hoffman had the lone hit for the Patriots.
