Comeback Falls Short, Radnor Loses 7-5 to Springfield
After spotting Springfield a 7-0 lead, Radnor chipped away and had the tying runs on base in the last inning before falling short 7-5.
Audrey Rosenblum led the rally with a single and run scored in the 3rd, an RBI double in the 5th, and another single and run scored in the 7th. Roni Hoover singled, stole a base and scored in the 3rd inning, and Tess Massaro recorded her first varsity hit to jump start the 7th inning rally with a two out single. She ultimately came around to score on a big two out, two strike, two run single by Cate Remphrey. Quinn Tobias chipped in with an RBI single in the 3rd inning, a stolen base and a walk in the 7th inning rally.
Tess also made her varsity debut in the circle, with two scoreless innings to keep Radnor within striking distance.
The Raiders fall to 2-1 on the year, 1-1 in the Central League.
