Tewksbury, Rosenblum Lead Radnor Past Marple 5-3
Libby Tewksbury scattered 7 hits while allowing no earned runs in pitching a complete game to lead Radnor over Marple 5-3. The senior struck out 2 while walking 3, and really shut the door the last two innings to allow Radnor to hold off the Tigers in a true team win!
Audrey Rosenblum jump started the offense with two hits, including a double, and a walk, driving in a run while stealing 2 bases and scoring two runs. Quinn Tobias chipped in with 2 hits, 2 stolen bases and a run scored; and Carolyn Eckstein boomed a two-out rbi triple while also walking and stealing two bases. Roni Hoover added a two-out rbi single as Radnor scored 4 runs with two outs.
Defensively, Quinn and Amanda McGrath each turned stellar double plays in the infield, while Carolyn and Sydney D'Entremont had terrific catches of balls in the air. Audrey had six putouts at SS, and Cate Remphrey had two assists from the catching position.
Radnor moves to 6-7 on the season.
