In february during the International Hockey Federation Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark, details will be disclosed to address these concerns. Co-founder and team CEO, Ray "The Rocket" Malinosky has hinted to a team reunion to reporters at the team's Helsinki instructional camp. Malinosky may be reached for comment the following week as he tours the Balkans and Slovenia, unfortunately, all interviews and comments will be in the Serb & Croat dialects of the various regions. |

Tom "the Iceman" Brissett has reached an agreement to return to the team that along with Ray Malinosky, Mike Solak and Brooks Nandouveres formed, the Icecrabs. Ryan Begey took over the captain duties upon Brissetts leaving the team in the spring to pursue a C division title. "It sucks that he(Malinosky) decided to give it a break but I completely understand where he is coming from", said an obviously emotional Brissett as he and agent Sal Deepockestein signed the final contract. Brian McGinnis another member of the Avalanche crew was first contacted by Deepockestein then Brissett and the deal was done. "The Icecrabs will now have a deep, high powered offense, solid defense and great goaltending" said McGinnis while being interviewed by ESPN the magazine and Juggs Magazine while at a local dollar beer night function |

The front office continues to operate for now, contemplating the future and/or FINAL resolution to a once proud and competative franchise. When the decision was made on June 8th, Tommy "The Iceman" Brissett was immediately reached on his multi-million dollar estate in Avon for comment: "First the Crabs, then the Avs...I went through hell for both these teams and backed my players all the way. Set aside the bruises, cuts, laserations, sweat, battles, and time, I gave it my all! I give Ray (The Rocket) alot of credit; he brought me to a winner over 2 years ago and despite the ups and downs, I really was stoked everytime we hit the ice to do battle. It just sucks that with all the hard work, dedication, and leadership, a few of the guys really put a wrench in the works both financially and selfishly"...Brissett was unable to complete the full interview as he was interupted several times by his agent who reportedly has accepted an offer for Brissett to join the elite "Suisse internazionale" squad in Bern, Switzerland for a tentative stint with cosideration of Brissett to obtain a European sports labor permit. This is the second week in a row the Avalanche have ended the game early. But that is no suprise to the fans of Avalanche. "The Fireants South had yet to win a game going into last night's. So, really, who thought last night would have been any different," commented a very enthusiastic red-headed fan in the stands. The referees began to get aggrivated by the large amount of cheering coming from the Avalanche fans. But it did not stop the Avalanche from putting the whining Fireants South in their place. Zuba, known cry baby of the Fireants South, did not fail to snivel about every call made by the referees. Deffenseman and Forward Greg Jacobs tried to put a little fire into the game by starting a fight with Zuba but to no avail. The Avalanche fans just cheered louder. All in all it was a great game and an even better show. This is Lois Lane and this has been your Avalanche Slide. |
