Power Skating 101

Stan Kondrotas - Owner/Head Instructor

I trained as a competitive figure skater until the age of 17 winning many competitions most notably a Silver medal in Ontario Sectional Competition. After figure skating I continued to play hockey at various levels and got involved with teaching power skating with a fellow skater Sonja Skating School for a number of years before beginning on my own in the South Simcoe and Area.

I have continued my education in skating technique through my association with who I feel is the best in the business James Richmond. JR is the current skating instructor of the LA Kings and current Head Coach and GM of the Aurora Tigers Jr A and being on ice with him as much as I can I am able to elevate my level of expertise to bring to my clients. I bring the best of both worlds the expertise of a figure skater to the knowledge of how to translate that to the hockey player.

I have coached and continue to coach as current Assistant Coach for the Barrie 2001 Minor Bantam AAA team, I am CHIPS Certifide, have my PRS, up to date police record check and am fully insured. In a few short years I have grown my client list to over 500o and have worked with over 12 organizations in the South Simcoe and Area instructing everything from Pre Tyke Development to Learning to Skate with Ringette from local league to AAA to entry level.

I take pride in my work and am only satisfied with results and know what I do works.
