Power Skating 101

Welcome to the Northern Prospects PS101 Jr Development League. The League was born to provide opportunities to the players of the South Simcoe and area to showcase their talents and develope their game further as well as keeping on ice, staying on ice for prospects camps or the next season.

The League is open to all players who are Jr eligible to players who are continuing their hockey paths looking for a place to stay ready for the next season.

I hope that everyone understands what this league is about and embraces it to the benefit of all involved

  Regular Season

• OHA rules apply to all games
• 10 regular season games
• 2 minute warmups - pucks supplied - followed by 3 - 15 minute run time periods flood between 2nd and 3rd periods
• 2 points win 1 points tie
• Hockey Canada Tie breaking rules in effect
• non contact
• zero tolerance for fighting immediate removal from league
• maximum 25 man rosters only 20 players to dress maximum each game
• complete rosters including full name year born and numbers assigned must be into the league prior to the first game
• prior to each game roster sheets will be provided to each coach who must identify all players playing. A player must play 3 regular season games to be eligible for playoffs
• 2 qualified Jr referees for each game
• certified medical staff in attendance for each game 
• zero tolerance for abuse of official, racial or gender slurs
• incidental contact is allowed but blatant hitting will results in a 2 minute penalty continued penalties of this nature shall result in removal form the game and further disciplinary action
