Warrington Warwick Softball Organization (WWSO)

Warrington Warwick Softball Organization (WWSO) offers opportunities for girls ages 5 to 17 to play in our recreational program.
The Organization is Little League affiliated (PA Section 6 District 30) and consists of 5 divisions.
The league season runs from the beginning of April to the middle of June.
Practices are determined by each individual coach and normally are once a week.
Games are played Monday through Friday 6pm - 8pm, and any time on Saturdays between 8am - 6pm. 
Games may be played at Barness or Hampton Chase Park aka Dark Hollow.
Any girl living within our Little League boundaries can participate in our organization.

Each Division is based on your daughter's age as of December 31, 2016 and they are as follows:
    Instructional at ages 5,6 & Some 7
    Low Minors at age 7 & 8
    Minors at ages 9 & 10
    Majors at ages 11 & 12
    Seniors at ages 13, 14, 15, 16 & 17

Ball Size Used per Division:
Instructional: 10" RIF Soft Dot Level 1
Low Minors: 11" RIF Level 1
Minors: 11" Regulation Ball (core .47, comp. 375)
Majors: 12" Regulation Ball (core .47, comp. 375)
Seniors: 12" Regulation Ball (core .47, comp. 375)

Each Player should have the following equipment as a minimum to play:
1) A properly fitted softball glove
2) Cleats, preferably softball cleats

League schedules will be posted after the Divisions and the teams have been established. The team selections for the younger divisions and the drafts for the older divisions will take place in early March. Thereafter, coaches will contact their players and begin practicing. Practices are at the coaches' discretion.

As part of the intramural program, WWSO offers Little League Softball tournament play after the regular season is over and runs through July.

WWSO also offers a competitive travel softball team environment, "Blue Thunder". This program is fast pitch tournament play, for ages 9 through 18. Tryouts are usually held in late August or early September of each year. The ASA format generally applies, but the teams also participate in PONY, NSA and FAST tournaments. The Blue Thunder sports season starts by the beginning of September and runs through July of the following year. See the Travel Softball Section of our web site for more information.
