April 30 is the cut-off date used to determine which league your child can play in. Children born before that date are eligible to play in one league; those born on or after that date are eligible to play in the adjacent league. For example, for a boy born on 10-March-97 who wants to play House baseball, then for the 2008 season, he is eligible to play on the PeeWee Reese league for 11 & 12 year olds. For a boy born on 10-June-1997, he is eligible to play on the PeeWee Reese league for 11 & 12 year olds, but could also elect to "play down" on the Willie Mays league for 9 & 10 year olds in the 2008 season (because he was still 10 on the cut-off date).
