Fall (Outdoor) Soccer Season
The Williston Soccer Club (WSC) strives to provide all players with the opportunity to learn and develop skills with a focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, competition and fun. We do not require try outs but we ask for each player’s commitment to a more competitive level of play. The fall season runs from late August through mid-October. Weekday practices are held at the Williston Central School soccer fields and weekend games (Sundays) are played at Essex Tree Farm against neighboring towns. In an effort to make the Williston Soccer Club’s 2006, 2007, 2008 teams more competitive and retain their talented players, the coaches have the discretion to field “A” and “B” teams (when there are enough players), select players to play in games (this will be based on skill level) and determine playing time in games.
We gladly accept surrounding town players for our teams.
U.S. Soccer has made some changes to encourage further youth development. These changes included the nationwide adoption of Small-Sided Games and a shift from school-year to calendar year for the age grouping of teams. Read more at the U.S. Youth Soccer website. With that said, the Williston Soccer Club is looking to field teams for boys and girls born during the years of 2006 to 2009.
The first outdoor practices will start at the end of August. Training sessions will take place at the Williston Central School soccer fields or Allen Brook School. Training sessions will focus on personal athletic skill development and will consist of drills and scrimmages. Players are expected to be serious and to be committed and ready to play. They should bring a water bottle, shin guards, a soccer ball and soccer cleats to each practice. Weekday practice sessions for each team will be:
2006 Girls: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm-7pm (WCS)
2006 Boys: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm-7pm (WCS)
2007/2008 Girls: Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30pm-7:00pm (Allen Brook)
2007/2008 Boys: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm-7pm (Allen Brook)
2009/2010 Boys: Thursdays 5:30pm-7pm (WSC)
There will be 6 VSL games played on Sundays at the Essex Tree Farm in Essex, VT. The Sunday game dates include September 11, September 18, October 2, October 9, October 16 and October 23 (there are no games on September 25 to allow teams to participate in the Bailey Memorial Jamboree in Stowe). The game times may vary from week to week, but are typically scheduled between 10am and 4pm. The game schedule will be released in early September.
Fall practice/game fees typically range from $50-$100 and include the cost of player passes ($25 for the combined fall/spring season), team fees, referee fees (U10-U16) and coaching fees (if applicable).
WSC players are also required to wear an official WSC uniform for the fall and spring outdoor games. A full kit typically costs $42 ($27 for the jersey, $9 for shorts and $6 for socks) and is a separate and additional cost from the seasonal fees listed above.
You may pay by credit card or by check. We would prefer the credit card option but if you are paying by check, please make the check out to the Williston Soccer Club and send it to:

Please upload a current headshot of your son/daughter to your GotSoccer account. The VSA has stressed that the photo must be a current picture and headshot.
For new players to the WSC who have not had a player pass in the past, the Vermont Soccer Association needs a copy of your son or daughter's birth certificate to verify their age. This is necessary to print off the player passes. Please send an email with a copy of your son/daughters' birth certificate to the following email addresses (please indicate in your email that this is for the Williston Soccer Club):
The VSA will make note of it and then shred the document.
