Jeff was sent off for his second yellow card with 20 minutes left. The Cavs failed to mount a successful attack and in the 89th minute, collapsed defensively as the chileans crossed the ball to the top of the 18 yard box and the chilean player made no mistake smashing the ball into the top corner.

The cavs hope to rebound when the face stonewall united at the winnipeg soccer complex on june 25th.

Cavs record 2nd Win in a row

Cavs go back to back!

On the heels of the first win of the season, the Cavs came out firing against the St. James Hurricane. After Kris "Hooty" Huth intercepted a pass on the left wing he headed straight for the 18 yard box and slid a perfect pass across to a charging Jake Peloquin who fired the ball into the back of the net.

The Cavs kept the pressure on and were denied on two great chances when a shot by Abdel Khalboubi rang off the crossbar and a beautiful left footed blast from Matt Towns also hit the bar. Wade Knight placed a perfect shot along the ground on net from his right back position and got past the screened Hurricane keeper to put the Cavs up 2-0 at the half.

After a few subs at half the Cavs came out a little flat and gave up a mysterious goal to St. James to make the score 2-1. The Cavs players thought the ball went in through the side of the net and should be disallowed but the referee showed a brilliant demonstration showing there was no hole and indeed the goal was allowed. Cavs GK Devin McAuley was quoted as saying "WTF happened??!!"

Chances were missed by both sides and the final whistle blew with the Cavs hanging on to their second 2-1 victory in a row.

The Kildonan Cavaliers are pleased to announce they have secured Jim Conceicao as coach for the 2010 season.

Jim comes from a long history of coaching various teams. He was instrumental in getting the Roma Soccer club to division and playoff titles, who now are playing their first season in the MMSL Premier league 1 (formerly premier division)

Jim has been past coach of the ParkCity U16/17/18 teams that won numerous championships in indoor and outdoor, and more recently co-coached Kildonan Athletic to their first MSSL league title in 2009.

"Jim brings experience to the position which we feel is the next step in the evolution of the Kildonan Cavaliers. We were disappointed to be put into the MSL Division 2 after the restructuring this year, but hope to gain promotion to MSL Division 1 very soon." team president/manager david was quoted as saying.

Kildonan's season kicks off May 2nd against newly promoted Spitfire, who were resurrected under their original ownership in 2009 when they bought a team in the old Division 3. Kildonan expects a tough test as former Cavs have now gone back to play for Spitfire.
