Bill Hendrix Committment to Wrestling Award

The M.J.W.L created an annual award to honor life time / long term service and achievement to Wrestling to recognize some of the great people we have in our organization who have dedicated decades of service to the MJWL, their community and/or wrestling in general.   

We have named this award after a man who defines what commitment to wrestling means Mr. Bill Hendrix who as of 2018 currently has 48 years of continuous service who after ending his competition career which started at Middle River Junior League and Continued at Overlea High School and the University of Maryland.   Began Coaching back at Middle River Junior League in 1970 as an assistant coach and through the years has evolved into Head Coach to Program Chairman along the way Bill was recognized by his peers with award such as the Johnny Eareckson Award in 2015 and induction into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2008.

MJWL is fortunate to have such a person to name an award after and we look forward to presenting this award for many years to come to deserving candidates:
