Congrats to Haden DeHaven, Jaden Jessie and Rashaan Haines

Congrats to Haden DeHaven, Jaden Jessie and Rashaan Haines (The Big 3) for breaking a few Cardinal records this season. Haden scored 29 runs this season to break the record of 25 previously held by Kammari Powell, Demetreous Taylor and AT Zembower. Jaden Jessie won 7 games on the mound this year and 16 in his career to break both records previously held by Demetreous Taylor. Jaden also broke Meat's career strikeout record of 167 with 241 and Jaden finished with a 3.34 career ERA to surpass Meat's 3.38. Rashaan tied Scooter Zembower's single season RBI record of 20 and also broke the career RBI record of Blair Brittain's by 1 with 40. Rashaan also became just the 6th player to join the ".500" club with his .500 batting average on the season. Joining the likes of Ty Mance, Devin Lee (twice), Tyler Smallwood, Blair Brittain and Kammari Powell.

Cardinals clinch a playoff spot

The Red Birds came out swinging and had a season high 18 hits. Haden DeHaven had 2 doubles, a single and scored 4 runs. Dylan Dignan roped 3 singles and knocked in 2 runs. Rashaan Haines drilled 2 doubles and scored 2 runs. Jay Talley had a double and a single and had 4 RBIs. Caelan O'Toole added a double and a single. Jaden Jessie and Sebastian Stewart each contributed 2 singles. Noah Buzzard ripped a double with 2 RBIs. Zeke Roddy put down a great bunt for single and scored. Jaden Jessie pitched a complete game striking out 12. The Cardinals will play next Monday in the playoffs with our opponent and time yet to be determined.
Carninals inch closer to a playoff spot with a 14-3 win over the Bucs

The Cardinals inched their way closer to locking up a playoff spot on Thursday with a 14-3 win over the Pirates. Rashaan Haines put his mark on the game getting the win on the mound pitching 5 innings giving up 3 unearned runs and striking out 7. Rashaan also hit a home run, scored 3 runs and knocked in 3 runs. Noah Buzzard stroked a double and 2 singles and scored 3 runs. Jay Talley hit a double and a single and knocked in 2 runs. Haden DeHaven added 2 singles, 3 runs scored and added an RBI. Sebastian Stewart and Caelan O'Toole also contributed with singles. The Cardinals can clinch a playoff spot with a win on Monday vs the Reds or if the Dodgers lose one of their games two games next week.
The Cardinals near a playoff berth with a 7-1 win over the Dodgers

The Red Birds picked up a big win in defeating the Dodgers 7-1 on a very warm Tuesday evening at the Park. Jaden Jessie pitched another gem throwing all 6 innings giving up 3 hits, allowing 0 earned runs and striking out 11. Jaden also continued his hot hitting at the plate with a single and 2 runs scored. Jay Talley added 2 singles and 3 big RBI's. Rashaan Haines got back on track with a double, a single and 1 RBI. Noah Buzzard ripped a single to left and was called out on some very questionable "strikes". Haden DeHaven hit a single, scored 2 runs and added 1 RBI. Zeke Roddy got a hit in his first at bat of the season. The entire team is very happy to have Zeke back in the lineup. The Cardinals are one win away from clinching a playoff berth. They look to lock up their playoff spot with a win over the Pirates Thursday evening.
The Cardinals pull out a win in the bottom of the 6th

The Cardinals allowed 6 runs in the top of the 6th to give up the lead 9-8 then scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th with no outs to win the game. Rashaan Haines got the start on the mound and pitched very well going 4 1/3 innings allowing only 1 earned run and striking out 7. Noah Buzzard then came in in relief and pitched to 1 batter and got 2 outs on a line drive hit right back to him and picked the runner off at first base. Jaden Jessie came on during the 6th inning to get the win stiking out 2. Haden DeHaven led the charge at the plate with 2 doubles, a single, 2 runs scored including the game winner and 1 RBI. Sebastian Stewart ripped 2 singles, scored a run and knocked a run in. Jaden Jessie, Jay Talley, Damian Sudac and Caelan O'Toole each singled in the victory. Dylan Dignan added 2 RBIs. Noah Buzzard scored 2 runs including the tying run in the last inning. The Cardinals improve to 7-4 on the season right in the verge of a playoff berth.
The Cardinals shine in the All-Star game

All 4 of our All-Stars did a great job and contributed to a classic 10-9 win in the All-Star game. Haden DeHaven pitched an inning and made the best defensive play of the game with a sliding catch in right field. Noah Buzzard scored the tying run in the bottom of the 6th after reaching base with a GREAT bunt single to lead off the inning. Jaden Jessie got the start on the mound and didn't allow a run and struck out 2. Jaden also had 2 singles and knocked in 3 runs. Rashaan Haines hit a Home Run that wasn't ruled a Home Run so he had to stop at second for a double. All 4 played a MAJOR part in getting the win. I am very proud of all 4 of the Cardinals.
Cardinals eek out 1 run win in slugfest

The Cardinals scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to pull out a hard fought win over the Tigers. The Tigers scored 5 runs in the top of the 6th to take a one run lead before the Cardinals got a walk from Damiam Sudac and Caelan O'Toole that set the stage for Noah Buzzard to put the ball in play and force an error that scored the 2 winning runs. Jaden Jessie got the win on the mound pitching one inning and striking out 3. Rashaan Haines was the leading hitter for the Red Birds with a 2 run home run to left center and a double to account for 3 RBIs. Haden DeHaven stroked a double and 2 singes with 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Jay Talley continued his hot hitting with 2 singles and 1 RBI, Noah Buzzard had 2 singles and 3 runs scored to go with the game winning hit. Caelan O'Toole added 2 singles to go along with the walk in the 6th inning. Dylan Dignan ripped a triple to right field and had 2 RBIs, Sebastian Stewart had 2 walks and scored a run. The Cardinals moved into 2nd place with this win with a 6-2 record.
The Red Birds come out swinging in the rematch of last years CLASSIC Championship Series

The Red Birds came out swinging in the rematch of last years Championship Series scoring 19 runs in 4 innings. Going back to the Pirate game Tuesday we have now scored 31 runs in the last 6 innings. Jaden Jessie was an infield single away from a no-hitter but still dominated with 11 of the 12 outs recorded by strikeout. Rashaan Haines led the charge at the plate with a 3-3 game with a double, 2 singles, 3 runs scored and 4 RBIs. Jay Talley continued his hot hitting with a double, a single and 1 RBI. Haden DeHaven had a single but was on base all 4 times and scored 4 runs and added 3 RBIs. Noah Buzzard added a double with 2 RBIs and was hit by the pitch twice. Jaden Jessis had a single and 2 RBIs, Sebastian Stewart had a single, a run scored and 1 RBI. Dylan Dignan had a single and scored 2 runs. Damian Sudac was hit by a pitch and scored 2 runs while Caelan O'Toole walked twice and scored both times. The coaching staff is very happy with this performance after a few weeks of shaky performances. The Cardinals finish the first half of the season with a 5-2 record and will start the second half of the season next week vs The Tigers.
The Cardinals start out slow but defeat the Pirates 15-5

The Red Birds came out flat on this stormy Tuesday evening and were trailing the Pirates 5-3 after 3 but then erupted for 12 runs over the final 2 innings. Dylan Dignan was one of the hitting stars of the game hitting a home run and adding 2 singles and 2 RBIs with 3 runs scored. Also having a great game at the plate was 10 year old Jay Talley with a double and 2 singles and he also had 2 RBIs. Rashaan Haines added 2 singles, 2 runs and 2 RBIs and threw 3 runners out at the plate. Haden Dehaven had a triple and got the win on the mound pitching 2 2/3 innings striking out 4 and only allowing 1 hit. Noah Buzzard smacked a double to right center and came in to pitch early in the game and pitched 2 innings giving up 1 hit. Sebastian Stewart added a single and scored 2 runs. Jaden Jessie walked twice and scored 2 runs. Damian Sudac reached base 2 times and scored both times. Jaden Lechliter also walked and scored a run. It was a total team effort with all 9 Cardinal players scoring runs. The team hopes to eliminate the slow starts to each game and play a complete 6 inning games. The Cardinals will face the Reds at 5:30 at The Park on Thursday in a rematch of last years CLASSIC championship series. The game will be broadcast on 1270AM WCBC.
Cards fight back and win 12-9 in 7 innings

The Cardinals had to fight back from being down 9-2 after 3 innings before erupting for 4 runs in the 4th and 3 runs in the 5th to send it to extra innings. The Red Birds then scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th for the 12-9 victory. Haden DeHaven got the come back started with a 2 run moon shot in the 4th inning. Haden also added a single. Rashaan Haines reached base all 5 times including 4 hits, 3 singles and blasted a double in the 7th for the game winning hit to go with his 3 RBIs. Caelan O'Toole had a rocket triple to center in the 2nd inning but was left stranded at 3rd. Sebastian Stewart had a single and hit hard line drive up the middle that was snagged by the centerfielder. Noah Buzzard had 2 singles and scored 4 runs. Noah pitched very well in relief coming in during the 2nd inning and giving the team a strong 3 innings on the mound. Jaden Jessie had a triple and a double with 2 RBIs and picked up the win in relief pitching the final 3 innings. Jaden came in with the score 9-9 and pitched 3 scoreless innings striking out 8. The Cardinals next play on Thursday at 730 against the young and talented Dodgers. The game will be broadcast on 1270AM WCBC.
The Cards hang on to beat the Tigers 7-4

The Red Birds defeated the Tigers 7-4 on Tuesday evening at Long Field to up their record to 2-0. Haden DeHaven got the start on the mound and pitched 5 2/3 innings striking out 10 and allowing 4 hits and 2 earned runs. Jaden Jessie then came in to close the game out with the bases loaded and struck out the only hitter he faced to pick up the save. The Cardinals tallied 9 hits led by Jaden Jessie with a triple and a single, Jay Talley with a double and single and Dylan Dignan with a double, a single and 2 RBIs. Also ripping hits for the Red Birds was Haden DeHaven, Damian Sudac and Caelan O'Toole, all with singles. The coaching staff was very impressed with the way the team put the ball in play, only striking out twice. The Cards return to action on Thursday at 7:30 vs the 2-0 Phillies.
The Cardinals open the season with a 13-3 win over the A's

The defending champs opened the season with an impressive performance against the Athletics scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st and then 4 runs in the bottom of the 5th to win by the 10 run rule. Jaden Jessie got the start on the mound going all 5 innings giving up 1 earned run while striking out 13, walking 3 and allowing 4 hits. Jaden also made an impact with the bat stroking 2 singles and 2 RBIs. The leading hitters for the Red Birds were Rashaan Haines with a double, 2 singles and 2 RBIs and Haden DeHaven with 3 singles and 1 RBI. Noah Buzzard also collected multiple hits with 2 singles. Also adding a hit was Dylan Dignan with a beautiful 2 RBI single in the first inning. Jay Talley walked and came around to score on Dignan's basehit. Caelan O'Toole reached base on an error, walked and scored a run. Damian Sudac also reached base on an error. The Red Birds return to action on Tuesday with a 7:30 game with the Tigers.
The Dapper Dan announces playoff dates

The Dapper Dan announced this years Major Division playoffs to take place on Monday July 2, Tuesday July 3 and Thursday July 5.
The Championship Series will then take place on Monday July 9, Tuesday July 10 and Wednesday July 11.
The Cardinals get 3 radio games on WCBC 1270AM

WCBC 1270AM announced that they will do 3 of the Cardinals games this year. The radio station is once again banking on the team to be a ratings giant this year. The 3 games are:
May 24 Cardinals vs. Dodgers 7:30
May 31 Cardinals vs. Reds 5:30
June 11 Cardinals vs. Phillies 7:30
Welcome to the 2012 Season

I'd like to welcome our 5 new players to the team this year. They are Sebastian Stewart, Jay Talley, Damian Sudac, Caelan O'Toole and Jaden Lechliter. The coaching staff is very excited to add this group of kids to the 6 returnees we have coming back. They are Rashaan Haines, Jaden Jessie, Haden DeHaven, Noah Buzzard, Zeke Roddy and Dylan Dignan. It's time to defend our titles, fellas!!!
