ELROSA--The Elrosa Saints clinched the SCL North regular season championship with an 11-1 mercy rule victory over Meire Grove on Friday night in Elrosa. Elrosa parlayed that win into a 11-3 victory over Greenwald on Sunday to end the regular season and claim the inaugural 3 Fingers Cup traveling trophy. Against the Grovers, the Saints bats were locked in from the first inning as they tallied 3 runs in the first frame to take an early lead. The navy nine would then continue to pour on insurance runs with 2 more in the 2nd inning, another in the 3rd, 4 more in the 5th then the final run in the 8th inning. Ethan Mueller led the Saints at the plate going a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI and a double. Ashton Dingmann and Luke Illies also provided doubles for the Saints who ripped 12 hits in the victory. Wyatt S. earned the win on the mound throwing 6 innings and striking out 7 Grovers. Tate Dekok tossed the final 2 frames as the young lefty gave up 1 hit and fanned 4.

The SCL North title marks the 12th time Elrosa has won the regular season crown and the first since 2023! Elrosa won regular season titles in 2023, 2022, 2020, 2018, 2017, 2015, 2010, 2006, 2002, 1990, 1987. The Saints will now open playoffs next Saturday July 25th @ 11 a.m in Elrosa vs Greenwald. They will also play Sunday July 26th in Greenwald with a shot at punching their ticket to the Region tourney!
