It is with great sadness that the Thamesford Minor Soccer Association announces the cancellation of our 2020 season. While we know there will be many disappointed children and families (as are we!) we feel this is in the best interests of all, taking into consideration the health and safety of our players, refs, flags persons, coaches and spectators.
At this time team sports and large gatherings are still prohibited by government order. Even if these prohibitions are lifted at some point during the summer, it will be challenging and impractical for TMSA to be able to put together a modified, shortened season, extending late into the summer, on little notice, and in line with the restrictions and guidelines that we expect will imposed.
Families will be given the option to request a full refund of their registration fee, or for TMSA to retain your payment as next year’s registration fee. You will receive an email in the coming days with further instructions in this regard. We thank everyone in advance for your patience as we work through this process.
Although team sports are currently prohibited, the Township fields are currently open for use by families. TMSA will be hanging our nets to make the fields more user friendly for you. Please get out with your families, enjoy the warmer weather, practice your soccer skills, while adhering to Government orders and Township guidelines, and maintaining social distancing.
Please visit or contact us at thamesfordminorsoccer.com with any questions or concerns.
We hope everyone is staying well during this time and look forward to seeing you back on the fields when TMSA returns for the 2021 season!
