Vernal Youth Baseball

Vernal Youth baseball is a place where kids can learn, grow, and make memories that last a lifetime. Every player on the field is still developing their skills and learning the values of teamwork, respect, and perseverance. Our coaches are dedicated volunteers who give their time and energy to help these young athletes succeed, and our umpires are players, coaches, community members and young adults doing their best to ensure fair play. By showing patience, encouragement, and good sportsmanship, we create an environment where the game is fun, friendships are built, and lessons extend far beyond the diamond. To all the coaches and board members, thank you for volunteering your time and let's have a good fall ball season.

Vernal 10U “Scrappers” Shine in 2025 Utah State 10U Championships. 

Taylorsville, Utah – June 2025 — The Vernal 10U “Scrappers” capped off an exciting state chanmpionships filled with growth, determination, and teamwork. Known for their hustle and heart, the Scrappers proved themselves as one of the toughest young squads in the tournment this year.

Guiding the Scrappers throughout the state championships were Coach Kayl Carter, Coach Greg Meeks, Coach Greg Olsen, and Coach Patrick Wilcox. 

“The Scrappers really lived up to their name,” said Coach Greg Olsen. “No matter the challenge, they fought hard, supported each other, and played the game the right way.”

Vernal 11U allstars wins 2025 Cal Ripken State Championship

[Taylorsville, Utah] – June 2025 — The Vernal Cal Ripken 11U baseball team has captured the 2025 Utah State Championship, showcasing skill, grit, and teamwork throughout the tournament.

The championship roster included:

• Landon Rogers

• JT Sand

• Wylee Slaugh

• Cooper Wilkins

Guiding the team were Coach Josh Sand, Coach Jake Wilkins, and Coach Matt Gabbitas, whose leadership played a vital role in the team’s success.

“This championship is about more than baseball—it’s about growth, teamwork, and building character,” said Coach Jake Wilkins. “We couldn’t be prouder.”

“This group plays with heart, and that’s what sets them apart,” added Coach Matt Gabbitas. “This is such an amazing group of kids,” said Coach Josh Sand.

Schedules have been uploaded. (changes were made on 9-6-25) Please check the times and days you play. 

Pitching Machine will play on the Rookie field and some games will be on the Majors field.

Pitching machine: Home team Coaches if you are the 5:30 game please have the pitching machines set up 10 mins before the game is to start. Last games of the night Home coaches please make sure the pitching machine is put up.

ALL TEAMS (fall ball 2025)

So we start on time please

1. Have your lineup cards filled out and in the tower 10-15 mins before game time. 
2. Have pitcher warmed up (Minors, Majors, BR) and ready to throw the first pitch at the game time start.
3. If the game before is running over. 2nd game will start 10 mins after all of the previous teams are off the field and out of the dugouts from the first game.
