WINNING STREAK ENDS AT 10
(from Eastcountysports.com)
BONITA VISTA 17, MIRA MESA 5 – The Marauders, suddenly down to 11 players due to injury and illness, remain a jig-saw puzzle on defense, allowing a series of unearned runs to score in a non-league setback to the Barons. Both ballclubs went with backup starting pitchers.
The lone highlight for Mira Mesa was a pair of home runs by outfielder MERCEDES HUMPHREY, who drilled 2-run and 3-run shots to account for five RBI and all of the Marauders runs.
