The 2nd grade will participate in the Nassau County PAL League. We expect 3 or 4 balanced teams that will play on Sundays in the spring against other towns in Nassau County.  Approximately half of the six games will be at home at St. Paul’s and half will be at the town of the opponent such as Manhasset, Cold Spring Harbor, Massapequa, Wantagh, etc.  There generally will be one or two practices during the week at Stewart School.  Considerable time will be spent on fundamentals. The emphasis will be on learning the basics and having fun.  Optional tournaments will be offered separately to all interested in more lacrosse at the end of the season in June. Past venues have included the Harvey Cohen Memorial and the Long Irelander Tournament both held in Nassau County.

Prior to the season, indoor winter training sessions and clinics will also be made available to those looking for more lacrosse.

Players are required to supply their own equipment, which includes a lacrosse helmet with chin strap, mouth piece, lacrosse gloves and stick, shoulder and elbow pads and an athletic support.

NOTE: 2nd graders interested in the competitive committed team program for the winter training, spring 2019 (3rd Grade) and summer 2019, should be prepared for try outs following the season in mid-July.

The evaluators for the try outs will be asked to select players with the complementary skill sets required to form a competitive team in all aspects of the game.
