ELITE SUMMER TRAINING
PS101 offers summer training on ice for those wanting to get quicker, faster, stronger longer strides, explosive starts, better conditioned, better balance, more agile, sharper corners. These will be small group sessions on ice in Bradford Leisure during July and August. Select weeks are available once or twice a week during the day.
Put your own group together, coaches send your players who need the extra work and see proven results.

Special Camp with James Richmond
PS101 always looking to lead the way in South Simcoe is excited to announce that they will be having 4 weeks of ice sessions with Special Camps Instructor James Richmond. JR is the current Head Coach of the Mississauga Steelheads of the OHL as well as the skating coach for the LA Kings. There is no better instructor out there so this opportunity is something you dont want to miss.

These sessions will be small group of 10 skaters with a goalie working on skating and skills concentrating on edging and balance. You want your player to improve on the most important aspect of todays game - skating - this is the session for them. Spots are limited so book now

Jr aged skating skills sessions fast paced drills to keep sharp when enough skaters short scrimmage for part of the skate. I limit the amount of skaters so book early to save your spot.

Small Group Training
PS101 is offering small group skills training for the next few weeks. The sessions are Mondays and Thursdays, July 23, 26, 30 Aug 2, from 130-230 at Bradford Leisure cost is $ 30 per session per player only taking 10 skaters and 1/2 goalies. Skating skills drills to work on edging transitions speed balance starts together with puck handling and shooting are worked on. Conditioning is always maintained in these high temp drills.

Skating Skills IRC July Mini Camp
This past week PS101 held a skating skills mini camp at the IRC. The group was mostly a younger one with a lot of the 2010 players from IMHA. I was fortunate enough to be able to have James Richmond come out to do one of the sessions. JR is the HC/GM of the Mississauga Steelheads OHL club and was skating coach for the LA Kings when they last won the Stanley Cup. JR brought his ring out and the players were able to put the ring on and get a picture. Their faces said it all!!!!!
Thanks to all that came out special thanks the JR and to Cam Gates who helped get this opportunity out to the players of the IMHA.
PS101 will be doing more mini camps in August so if you are interested stay tuned or please let me know
I am not sure there would be a better way to end a week long camp then bringing in a Stanley Cup Ring and letting the players all get an opportunity to put it on and get a picture with it. Special thanks to PS101 Special Camp Instructor who once again shows why he is simply the best. A week of on ice skating skills drills then bringing in his Stanley Cup Ring he won while being the skating instructor for the LA Kings was just awesome. Great work everyone hope you not only enjoyed wearing the ring but also learned a lot from JR as I saw every player get better from first to last day

POWER SKATING/SKILLS TEAM SEASON SPECIALS
Stick Handling Camp featuring Dan Reja
PS101 in its continued efforts to bring only the best to their clients presents its first Stick Handling Camp featuring Dan Reja from Dangle Hockey. Dan a long time friend of PS101 is perhaps the best stick handling player we have seen. His experience and knowledge is second to none. Dan has provided stick handling sessions over seas and now brings it to the clients of PS101 of South Simcoe and area.
Dan grew up in Toronto and played his minor hockey in the GTHL for the Toronto Red Wings, Toronto Marlies and Mississauga Senators. He was drafted by the NHL’s Washington Capitals. He played 3 years Junior (OHL) and 7 years Pro (ECHL, WCHL, CHL, Germany, Italy). Over the past 20 years Dan has instructed for different hockey schools which included camps in Toronto, Dallas, North Carolina, San Francisco, San Jose, Minnesota and New York.
Since starting up Dangle Hockey in 2009, Dan has also been invited as a guest instructor to teach in Korea, Russia, and Chicago. He has also worked with the Team Canada U18 and U22 Women’s programs in Calgary.

Stick Handling Clinic a Giant Success
I just wanted to thank Dan Reja and Dangle Hockey for making the long drive from Toronto the past 3 Saturdays to put on a Stick Handling Clinic for the clients of PS101 here in South Simcoe. The technique introduced and practiced each session will help each player and through hard work and practice reward will come.
Everyone was very impressed with the clinic, some say it should be a must attend to educate proper stick handling technique. There are very few experts in this field and certainly none that I am aware of with this expertise and in this area. It was for all ages and levels from local league to AAA from 2005 to 1997's drills were all individual drills working on technique with repetition repetition.
Thanks again Dan I look forward to holding many more Stick Handling Clinics in the future so please stayed tuned as there will definetley be more to come.
