NEMHA Peewee B DJHL Champs!

The Northeast Eagles Peewee All Star team won the 2017 DJHL Peewee League Championship March 28th at the Paradise Double Ice Complex.
The Eagles defeated the Paradise Warriors 6-1 in the final game to take the best of 5 series 3 games to 1. The Eagles took the semi-final series 2 games straight against a strong Southern Shore Breakers team. The league championship caps off a successful regular season in which the team had 16 wins, 3 losses and 5 ties in league play.
The Eagles will now prepare for the Provincial Championships in Corner Brook April 17-19.

NEMHA Peewee B Wins GOLD

NE Peewee B wins GOLD in Provincial Tournament!

 

 

  

The Northeast Eagles Peewee All-Stars won the 2017 Provincial Peewee B Championship yesterday in Corner Brook. A determined Eagles team faced off against the Paradise Warriors in the final, defeating them by a score of 4-2. Northeast finished the tournament with a 5 and 1 record.

The Eagles defeated the Grand Falls Cataracts 7-4, CBR Renegades 2-1, Mount Pearl Blades 6-3 and Corner Brook Royals 11-2. The team’s only loss (4-2) came against the Warriors in round-robin play.

The Provincial Championship caps off a very impressive season for the Eagles, one in which saw them finish in first place in the DJHL and go on to win the Fisher Family Trophy as League Champions. The team also won the Neil Maynard Memorial Tournament, Bay Arena Invitational Tournament and the CBR Invitational Tournament during the season.

Peewee B wins GOLD in Provincial Tournament


 

 

The Northeast Eagles Peewee All Star team won the 2017 Provincial Peewee B Championship April 19th at the Corner Brook Civic Center. A determined Eagles team faced off against the Paradise Warriors in the final, defeating them by a score of 4-2. Northeast finished the tournament with a 5 and 1 record. NEMHA Peewee C Win Gold Bay Arena

 Congratulations to The NEMHA Peewee C Eagles on winning gold at the Bay Arena Peewee B tournament. The Eagles played great, going undefeated throughout the tournament, winning the championship game 3-1 against The Goulds Pacers.

 Peewee C wins Silver at Neil Maynard Memorial Tournament March 2017

 

 

Congratulations to the Northeast Eagles PeeWee C team on winning a silver medal at the Neil Maynard Tournament. The team played great and after finishing the round robin in first place lost a hard fought championship game to Bell Island 6-4. The team shown here wore the Pouch Cove and area combines jerseys that Neil wore when he played.

Peewee All Star team win the 2017 Neil Maynard Memorial Tier I Tournament (March 10-12)

 
The Northeast Eagles Peewee All Star team won the 2017 Neil Maynard Memorial Tier I Tournament March 10-12 at the Jack Byrne Arena. The Eagles defeated a strong Bay Arena Rovers team in the final to cap off an undefeated weekend. The Eagles wearing the tournament Memorial uniforms (throwback red and white Pouch Cove and Area Combines jerseys and socks with Neil's #18 on the chest) tied the Grand Falls Cataracts on Friday night in front of a large crowd. On Saturday, they faced off against the Rovers and Mt. Pearl Blades to conclude round-robin play. On Sunday morning, they took on the CeeBees in the semi-final which advanced them to the tournament final.

Peewee All Star team win the 2016 Bay Arena PeeWee A Invitational (January 8th)
 
 
The Northeast Eagles Peewee All Star team won the 2016 Bay Arena PeeWee A Invitational January 8th at the Bay Arena in Bay Roberts. The Eagles defeated a strong Clarenville Caribous team in the final to cap off a very successful undefeated weekend. The Eagles defeated the CeeBees, Gander Flyers and Clarenville Caribous in round-robin play to finish first in their division. In the semi-final, the Eagles faced off against the hometown Bay Arena Rovers in a hard-fought game before taking on the Caribous again in the tournament final.

  Northeast Eagles Peewee All Star team win the 2016 Robert French Memorial Tournament (December 11th).

 

 

The Northeast Eagles Peewee B All Star team won the 2016 Robert French Memorial Tournament December 11th at the Robert French Stadium in Keligrews. The Eagles defeated the hometown CBR Renegades 3-0 in the final to cap off a very successful weekend in which they finished first place after round-robin play.
