The FCYFA is looking for honest, dependable men or women to referee youth football games. All games will be played on Saturday’s with games starting as early at 8:30am in some cases. FCYFA is a competitive recreational youth football association that promotes sportsmanship for all who are associated with our program. No Experience necessary Registration fees Monthly pay Must pass a background check Age 16 and older with reliable transportation, valid email address, access to the internet, reliable contact information High school students need to have passing grades at current high school Attend 1 training session and 1 training scrimmage June and August 2012
Parks and Games All games will be played on Saturday’s with games starting as early at 8:30am in some cases. We will also need some crews to start at 4pm on Saturdays in some cases. Games will be held Sharon Springs, Central Park, Sawnee Mountain, Bennett Park, and Midway Park, Joint Venture and Fowler Park and possibly some middle and high schools in Forsyth County
Pay scale: No experience $30 per game 1-2 years refereeing youth football - $35 per game 3 or more years refereeing youth football $41 per game Each referee will receive a $10 concession stand tab for each game day

Booking of games: Your crew chief will notify you by Wednesday where you will be working the following Saturday and you need to either accept or decline the assignment within 24 hours. Cancellations require 48 hr. notice, less than 48 hrs. - fined 1 game's pay No shows for games without notification – fined 1 day's pay. You must be at the game field 45 minutes prior to the first game of the day showing up late could result in a fine. Referees with no experience will be booked every other weekend until we feel confident you are up to the task If your phone numbers, email address changes it is up to you to let us know
Crew Chiefs: Once crew chiefs are selected, the crew chiefs are responsible for their crews as far as ensuring they are on time to the crew chief meeting 30 minutes prior to each game. Crew chiefs will be responsible for deciding who works what refereeing position each day on their crew. Crew chiefs will also be responsible for reporting all game scores on our website by Sunday at noon and Tuesday at noon
Rule books and local rules: Everyone will receive a FCYFA set of rules and needs to attend the FCYFA rules clinic on August 12th - FCYFA Coaches / Referees Rule Clinic 4pm–6pm Central Park Recreation Center Red Gym. If you show up to an assignment without a rule book you could be fined a day's pay, it is your responsibility to keep up with your rule book and know the rules for the games you are refereeing.
Uniform requirements If you show up to a game with dirty uniforms, missing uniform pieces you will be subject to fines imposed by your crew chief and could lose future booking assignments White official's shorts Short sleeved football official's shirt Black tee shirt (under garment) 1 finger whistle and 1 lanyard whistle Plastic (erasable) game card / referee pencil Penalty flags (2) Bean bags (2) Black colored belt Good quality official's shoes black and white or solid black are suitable White (Referee's) hat, only if you have refereed before rookies will not need a white hat Black (other official's) hat, with white piping Official's socks (1 pair, 1 piece), modified NW stripe Down counter (wristband) Chain clip disk

Taxes after $600 If you make more than $600, you either will receive a 1099 or be sent the information for you to fill out your 1099. There are no guarantees by joining that you will work any games.
