The Maryland Private and Independent School State Championships are being held..........This is the Qualifier to the Prestigious NATIONAL PREP CHAMPIONSHIPS HELD NEXT WEEK AT LEHIGH UNIVERSTIY!
Former PH'ers OUTLOOK!
BILL GIALAMAS (CALVERT HALL) Is Seeded #1 after his Championship Finish last week at MIAA..... Bill has finished 6th as a Sophmore and 3rd as a Junior.
NIK GIALAMAS (CALVERT HALL) Is the #2 Seed Behind Defending State and National Prep Champion from Mcdonogh....Nik is looking to make the finals this year after finishing 3rd as a SOPHMORE AND JUNIOR...... Nik has 10 Career Wins at the HIGH SCHOOL STATE TOURNAMENT to go along with his 128 HIGH SCHOOL WINS!
PATRICK DOWNEY (MSJ) IS THE #4 Seed as a Freshman afer taking down defending state champion from Loyola last week finishing 3rd at MIAA.
JOE FOSTER (CURLEY) Is SEEDED #4 and is also a repeat place winner where he finished 4th as a sophmore and 3rd as a Junior respectively!
NOTE: TOP PLACING SENIORS IN EACH WEIGHT CLASS WILL WRESTLE IN NEXT MONTHS SENIOR CROSSOVER ALL STAR EVENT WHERE MD's TOP SENIORS in THE 4A/3A, 2A/1A, and PVT A/B compete at RIVER HILL.........
BOth Gialamas Twins are favored and Joe Foster is in the hunt!

Foster and Downey still alive at States guaranteed to advance to Next weekends National Preps It will be Joe's Third Trip to the big dance while Patrick makes his debut next weekend as a freshman!
Nik and Bill both advance to the Finals that start at 6pm!
Bill has won his 3 matches by ;30 pin, 10-0, and 7-4.
Nik three wins came by 7-5, and the tournaments fastest pin ;26 seconds and a 3:00 Pin vs 37-1 Sutch of Stjames!
These are the first 2 HS state finalists I"ve coached! Both have also qualified for the MD senior allstar classic and the NHSCA SENIOR NATIONALS!
