| Another Year in the Books as the 2010-2011 As the Sun sets on this season, I'd like to recap this years high lights..............we started out with 29 wrestlers and finished the season with 27 which is a pretty outstanding feat right off the bat.
This season was a season of growing, and perhaps we have turned the corner. With who can be returning next year I see no reason why we cannot compete with almost any team in the MJWL from our lightweights, Kyle / Ryan and William to our middleweights of Ben / Austin / Max / Tyler / Tyrell / and Hunter to our light heavy weights Dylan / Angus / Braedan / Sonny / Matt G. and perhaps our heavyweights Kyle and Nolan who should all return next season there is reason to be excited!!!!!!
We had a decent dual meet season securing 5 victories during league competition and would perhaps have won 8 matches had we not been so thinly stretched.
We finished 2nd place as a team at the Little 20 tournament in december.
We competed at the viper duals again a very tough 5 match tournament where again Tyler Klein went undefeated winning his weight class title.
We wrestled at the Hawks Invitational where Matt finished 2nd and William Bressner won the 50# title. At the MSWA regionals Sonny, Jake, Matt, Tyler, Jake, Kyle and Josh all advanced to the age/weight state tournament.
MSWA STATES saw us take (3) Place finishers in Matt (4th) Tyler (6th) and Jake (6th)
MJWL REGIONALS saw Matt finish as runner-up and won the Shaffenacker award while Jake won our first title in 4 years. we also advanced 7 wrestlers to the MAU CHAMPIONSHIPS where all 7 made the awards stand!!!!!
We had 2 wrestlers climb there way up the all-time win list in Tyler and Matt.
And Matt had one of the all-time best seasons tying the single season wins total and breaking the single season pin record.
