The Triad Bulls with Davis O'Brien on the mound, logged a perfect game today. The Bulls made every defensive play and guest catcher Drew Tiano (Davis and Alec's Glenn teammate) did a great job behind the plate.
The Bulls jumped out to a 5-0 lead with 5 runs in the top of the 1st inning. Ryan Harrell doubled to score Alec Widmer for a 1-0 lead. Nathan Harrell's infield ground ball scored Craig Colbourne for a 2-0 lead. Josh Byrd's double scored Ryan Harrell (up 3-0). Isaac Campbell doubled to score Josh Byrd (4-0 lead) and Drew Tiano's infield ground ball scored Campbell.
The Bulls added a 2nd inning run when Matty Edwards scored on a wild pitch to Craig Colbourne. End of 2, Bulls up 6-0.
The game stayed at 6-0 until the top of the 5th inning when the Bulls put 5 more on the scoreboard. Davis O'Brien's fielders choice scored Josh Byrd. Alec Widmer's infield ground ball scored Isaac Campbell and then Craig Colbourne blasted a 3-run HOMER over the CF fence to put the Bulls up 11-0.
