2019 BYTA SPRING/SUMMER FLYER Now Available!!!

Our Spring/Summer Flyer is now available. To get a copy, go to Forms, (at the top of this page) and select Flyers, Forms & Handouts.

All BYTA Attendees . . . MUST Complete Three Documents!!!

 The three documents are:

  • Registration Form / Photo Release Form
  • Consent, Acknowledgement of Risk, Waiver of Liability and Indemnification Agreement
  • Authorization for Emergency Treatment

These documents, when completed, should be brought to the first session that you attend. You can access these documents by going to Forms (located at the top of this page) and selecting Flyers, Forms & Handouts.

2018-19 NCCC All-League & All State Honors Go To BYTA Attendee !!!

Congratulations . . . Maddee McGee (Granby Memorial HS) on being named to the 2018-19 NCCC All League Team for the third straight year. The team is selected by the league's coaches. Along with being named to the 2017-18 NCCC All League Team she was selected for 2017-18 CT All State honors.

Bring Plenty Of Water To Our Training Sessions!!!

Water is our basic nutrient and serves several important functions for our body. With the heat of the season, and the intensity that you put forth in your workouts, it is very important to drink plenty of water. We encourage you to make sure you are well hydrated before you attend the sessions and to continue to bring your own water to the sessions, so you can continue to replace what is lost in your workout.

Some guidelines for the amount of water you should consume before, during and after workouts are outlined in an article called, "Athletes: The Importance of Good Hydration", from FamilyDoctor.org. This article can be found by going to Pages (located at the top of this page) and selecting Nutrition Information.

Backyard Workout Series . . . Available For Your Use.

Many of our attendees wanted to know what they could do at home, on days the BYTA did not have a training session. So the BYTA staff has put together a series of workouts for that purpose. To view them, go to the Pages (located at the top of this page) and select Backyard Workout Series. To print individual copies of each workout for your personal use, go to Forms (located at the top of this page) and select Flyers, Forms & Handouts.

The Links To YouTube Videos section contains links to some great videos. You'll find a collection of varied video topics, along with the link to each video. The duration of each video and a brief description are also included. How Do You Prepare For Athletic Events? . . . Our Nutrition Information Can Help!

Our Nutrition Information section can be found by going to Pages (located at the top of this page). You'll find four articles there. The first article discusses the importance of good hydration and gives suggestions on the amount of water you should consume before, during and after an athletic event. The other three articles can help you to make intelligent choices concerning your nutrition. They can also help you to choose the right foods when preparing for an athletic event. Look at some of the albums that honor the achievements that some of our past and present attendees have achieved.
