JAGS - Home Vs Harrison Stingrays = Loss 1-2
November 10, 2012
A nice day for soccer. Our first game after hurricane Sandy.
Harrison is a strong team that went pretty far in the State Cup tournament, beating some very high level teams, so a 1-2 loss wasn't too bad, but it should easily have been at least a tie for us.
Goals: Ashley
Assist: Marisa
JAGS - Away Vs NLSA Skye = Loss 0-1
October 28, 2012
Nice Pennington HS Turf field. Windy as we await Hurricane Sandy. Almost cancelled.
We lost to NLSA badly last year, then tied them in the spring, then beat them in State Cup 2-0 recently. Now, we just can't seem to get our "groove" back and can't seem to find the back of the net lately, with no goals in our last 3 games. We seemed to dominate them for the majority of the second half, but just couldn't finish and they had capitalized on their one and only opportunity.
Let's finish with two strong games to end the season!!
JAGS - Home Vs Oldbridge = Loss 0-3
October 14, 2012
Yuk! Seems like Oldbridge has our number for some reason. Almost every shot they take goes in and we can't seem to find the back of the net against them.
Seems like we've lost a little bit of our fire, desire & drive to get to the ball and get the ball into the net. Hopefully the 2 week game break will give us a little spark back.
Hazlet Tournament Columbus Day 10/6 & 10/7
October 6, 2012
We missed Jessica this weekend!
We missed coach Paul for Game 2.
No rain on Saturday. Light rain for game 2 on Sunday.
Game 1 - Vs Cranford Lightning = WIN 5-2
Game 2 - Vs Oldbridge Lady Wolves = WIN 5-0
Had to play keep away for the 2nd half. Received a warning for scoring too many goals from the Ref.
Game 3 - Vs Neptune Dynamite = WIN 2-1
Game 4 - Vs Oldbridge Magic = Loss 0-2
Light Rain that stopped for the second half.
A yellow card issued to Coach Paul by the sideline ref?!?!
We'll see them again next weekend for a JAGS game.

JAGS - Home Vs Jersey Shore Boca = TIE 0-0
September 30, 2012
Some unexpected rain showers today. Lots of ice used on the Rebel injuries as well.
A solid battle that we seemed to dominate for the most part, but somehow couldn't find the back of the net again.
Solid shutout defense and Keeping from Dakota and the defense.
Coach Paul's "player of the game" = Jessica
STATE CUP - At Lumberton Strikers = Loss 0-1
Not too bad of a drive down to exit 5 on the NJ Turnpike. Nice day for soccer. Our 7 game winning streak came to an end today.
Lumberton's been on a bit of a winning streak themselves lately. They were quicker to the ball most of the time and had a team of mostly athletic players. Number 3 and number 9 were solid threats.
We had plenty of opportunities, but just couldn't seem to find the back of the net. The Lumberton girls had just a few opportunities and were able to head one in for the win. They also sucked up a bunch of time with a couple of injuries that we could have used at the end of the game.
A solid battle overall.
JAGS - Home Vs Roncocas Raiders = WIN 1-0
September 23, 2012
Beautiful day for soccer, but on our smaller full sized field, which always seems to give us a challenge. This time we were on the right side of an ugly game!
The Raiders were well trained and connected some nice passes. They also seemed to own the midfield and were winning lots of balls. We somehow managed to keep them from finding the net, though they seemed to have plenty of opportunities.
The Rebs move to 2-0 for their JAGS season in the higher flight.
Goal: Zaya
Assist: Janiah
Coach Paul's Player of the Game = Zaya
STATE CUP - Home Vs NLSA Skye = WIN 2-0
September 22, 2012
Rebels advance to Round 2 of NJ State Cup tournament, with a WIN over NLSA Skye of 2-0 at the Jersey Knights Complex. NLSA beat us 4-0 last fall and we tied them 1-1 last season. Great progress Rebel ladies!! This should quiet down all of the complaints about us not having to play NLSA in the South Brunswick tournament! No doubts now.
We missed Arthi!
Goals: Ashley, YaYa
Assists: Brielle, Summer, Ashley
"Players of the Game" = Lacey and Brielle
JAGS - Away Vs Cherry Hill = WIN 2-1
September 16, 2012
A beautiful day for soccer. Long drive down to the Cherry Hill turf for our JAGS league opening game, but not too bad.
The only goal against us came from an accidental handball in the box. The defense and Dakota held firm, shutting down the aggressive attack of Cherry Hill. They were big and physical and never gave up.
Ashley made two unassisted runs up the middle, with the second one having the Cherry Hill Keeper barrel into her, but the ball still took the long roll into the net.
Goals: Ashley, Ashley
A great way to start off our season up in a higher JAGS flight! Let's keep it going.
South Brunswick Tournament - 9/8 & 9/9 = CHAMPIONS

CHAMPIONS - 4 SHUTOUT VICTORIES
Great shutout tournament by Dakota and the Defense! Zero goals against!
Day 1
We missed Georgia! A little bit of light rain for the EB trophy ceremony in the dugout.
Goals: Ashley, Ashley, Zaya, Jessica
Assists: Marisa, Summer, Lizzy
Day 2
We missed Georgia again! Beautiful day for a soccer tournament.
Goals: Summer, Marisa, Olivia, Ashley, Summer, Summer, Arthi, Ashley, Zaya, Ashley, Marisa, Yaya, Tracy

East Brunswick Labor Day Tourny - 9/1 & 9/2 - FINALISTS
CONGRATS ON TAKING SECOND PLACE AND FINISHING AS FINALISTS!!
We missed Coach Paul, Jess and Tracy for day 1. Thanks for Coach Sumi for helping out on the coach's side!
We got off to a great start, with 2 wins against 2 higher ranked teams, which will get us some nice GotSoccer points.
It seems like we need to work on our endurance and stamina, so that we play at the same level on Day 2 as we do on Day 1.
Obviously, when we're fresh, we're able to compete with the higher level teams.
Both the Union & East Greenwich teams are a flight higher than us in the coming JAGS season and the Spartans play in the Eastern Development Program (EDP) league.
The East Greenwich team that we beat 1-0 on the first day, actually ended up winning the tournament, so we were the only team to beat the tournament champions!

Game 4 - Goals: Ashley & Brielle, Assists: Summer
