U17 Soccer Year Information

For next year, we will not start up in fall until the HS season winds down. Typically, the U17G team will start up with light training sessions on Sundays in October, with very minimal contact and fitness involved. In November, the team will begin full training and will also likely participate in 3 tournaments around the Thanksgiving Day time period. There are no league games in the fall. We would then take the month of December off and begin winter training in January and then run through our spring season through June or July.

3 Fall Tournaments

  1. Fall Challenge Cup - NJ - Nov. 14-15
  2. EDP/MSSL 2015 Winter College Showcase - Nov. 21-22 - Hammonton NJ
  3. Charlotte Moran Girls Showcase - Nov. 28-29 - DE
  4. EDP Cup - 1st. Round to be played before Dec. 13

Spring Schedule:

  • EDP League
  • Open Cup
  • US Club State Cup (National Div.)
  • FC Europa Cup - March 12 - 13 - Philadelphia
  • EDP Easter Showcase - March 25 - 26 - Hammonton NJ
  • PDA Girls College Showcase - May 27 - 30 - PDA Somerset NJ
  • US Club Mid-Atlantic Regional - June 27 - 30 - Somerset NJ

All new players will be required to purchase a full uniform and gear kit, which usually runs around $330. This kit will be good for the next 2 years, per the club's contract with Nike.

For U-17 aged teams, the costs of tournaments increases very significantly, so even though we have an abbreviated fall season, the costs is $1,765 for the entire U-17 year. We have budgeted for 3 tournaments in the fall and 3-4 tournaments in the spring, as well as a full spring season in the EDP league, US Club State Cup, EDP Open Cup. A couple of the tournaments will be "away" tournaments, where overnight stays would be required. There are some nice tournaments in Maryland, Boston, NY, Pennsylvania and other east coast areas that would be likely, so that the girls can experience different styles of play and also have some time to bond more as a team.
