Mandatory practice will be held daily Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM  - 6:00 PM at Newport High School, meet at the north end of the Newport track.

Mandatory Saturday morning practices will be held the first two weekends of the seaso, 9:00-11:00 am at Newport High School. No other full team Saturday workouts are scheduled.  Any other Saturday practices will be at the discretion of the event coaches.  Athletes will be advised.  

Regular season practice and competition runs March 3 - May 25th.

Post season practice and competition runs May 9th - May 25th for WIAA State Championship qualifiers.

Practices will not  be conducted the week of Spring Break unless the Event coaches schedule a practice.  Athletes in town are expected to be at practice, but those out of town on family trips will no be penalized for their absence. 

Practices are held rain or shine, meeting at the NHS track; adjustments to the practice schedule due to inclement weather will be made at the discretion of the coaching staff and athletic director.

Attendance will be taken at the beginning of every practice; students must be on time to be considered present at the practice.  Attendance via the online Final Forms system will notify parents when students are absent.

Athletes must also check out with a coach before departing each day.
