Meet Selection and Lettering Requirements

Entries for meets, especially for relay team positions and limited-entry invitationals will be decided on by coaches on a meet-by-meet basis based on athletic performance as well as citizenship, attendance, attitude, effort, and all other aspects of the team philosophy and expectations. Varsity letter decisions will similarly be made at the end of the season, usually going towards the athletes attending the KingCo championship meet who are in otherwise good standing regarding team expectations. Additional letters may be awarded to graduating seniors who have shown exceptional contributions to the team over three or more years, regardless of results. No early-season placements in meets or on relay teams guarantee such placement in the future.
