DICKENS RETURNS

July 5, 2004
Former Ancaster center Justin Dickens has decided to return to CIS basketball this year, having transferred to Lakehead. The 6'9 270 pound Dickens played for 2 seasons with University College Cape Breton before talking last year off. “Having seen Justin play two years ago on the East coast, we know we are getting a proven post player who has a great work ethic and is an excellent team guy. That being said, he has the potential to be a force down low both from a defensive and rebounding aspect, as well as a match-up we can go to on the offensive end. Since his time in the AUS, Justin is two years more mature, two years wiser, and two years hungrier for success. He will be a valuable addition to the team for the next three seasons”, says Head Coach Scott Morrison. Dickens led Ancaster High to 2 Hamilton City Championships, 2 SOSSA titles, and 2 OFSAA appearances. The Royals captured the 2000 OFSAA Bronze Medal with Dickens in the post.
