MAGIC TAKE OBA BRONZE

The Ancaster Magic captured a bronze medal at the Ontario Basketball Association Division 1 Junior Championships in Windsor on Sunday. The Magic upset the Kitchener-Waterloo Vipers 66-65. In semi-final action, Ancaster narrowly lost to the #1 ranked Hamilton Wildcats 67-60. The Magic placed first in their pool after upsetting #2 Hamilton Blessed Sacrement 77-74 in the opener, and then trouncing #3 London Orion in the second game 63-51. Members of the team are, Orhan Memedovski, Matt Curtis, Andrew Losier, Mark Patterson, Joe Polizzi, Nathan Histed, Seamus O'Byrne, Tyler Hynes, Zackary Cassuccio, Michael Spitale, Adrian Cordova, Jermey Bowman, and Victor Fynn. (Polizzi, Fynn, and Bowman did not take part in the tournament nursing injuries.) Andrew Losier won the Raptors Fair Play Award. The Head Coach was Jamie Girolemetto, and assistants were Eduardo Cordova, Paul Maga, and Amos Connelly.
ANC CAPTURES MAC LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP

Team ANC beat the McMaster Marauders 80-74 tonight to win the 2003 MAC Summer League Championship. Members of the team are; Eli Carlone, Randle Defalco, Justin Dickens, Mark Patterson, Scott McLeod, Mac Akrong, Kojo Mensiah, Tom MacChesney, and Dave Carlone.
