In February 2015, the Norwalk Common Council passed The Norwalk Youth Sports Concussion Guidelines making our city now the standard of care for the rest of the country. From California to Hartford, sports leaders, US senators, CT lawmakers, and parent advocates are watching to see how we implement this policy. All of us are the keys to success of this very important program.

All of our coaches will be certified by the CDC to recognize concussion symptoms and to take action to protect the player. All coaches will follow the guidelines found in the documents below. They will have printed versions of these guidelines on hand for each game and practice. The COACH has the sole responsibility to determine if a player is exibits concussion symptoms and the COACH will make the decision to sit a player. Be advised that Norwalk Babe Ruth will ALWAYS use the utmost caution while making these determinations. YOUR child's safety is MORE IMPORTANT than the game.
We are committed not only by City of Norwalk direction, but by our own league adoption of this very important process to keep players safe.
