2020-2021 Season - COVID-19 Update and Commitment Statement
Have you heard? There will be a 2020-2021 season! We've put our heads together and have been working all summer to figure out a way to bring you back to the ice and we've got a plan! However, given that COVID-19 is still out there, we've had to make some significant changes. There are guidelines and rules from the Public Health Unit and the arenas we need to follow. But remember, all of the changes are designed to keep everyone safe and healthy while still enjoying the game!
If you're already registered to play, click here to access our Return to Play Recommendations and Commitment Statement. A signed Commitment Statement is needed from all players before playing!
If you haven't registered yet, but are curious about how things will work, contact our Secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

We will also be making an exception to receive E-transfers (for the duration of COVID-19 social-distancing protocols only).

League Facebook Group
Our league has a Facebook group for registered players which can be found by searching KWWRHL 2020-2021 Season
All members and posts to this group will be reviewed and approved by the league executive. If you are trying to join the Facebook group but your Facebook name is different from the name under which you registered for the league, please contact our Secretary and advise her of this so she can accept your request to join.
Please also see our guidelines under CODE OF CONDUCT under the PAGES menu above to learn about what is and what is not allowed to be posted on our league Facebook page.
Policy for Games Without Two Goaltenders
Please note the following procedure, approved by the League executive on Aug. 26, 2015 regarding games where at least one team does not have a goaltender present.
GAME CANCELLATIONS DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
The KWWRHL very rarely cancels league games due to weather conditions. Any time you feel that weather conditions are not safe for you to travel to the arena for a scheduled game, you should stay home.
In the unlikely event that there is a cancellation, it will be because the City of Waterloo (Mondays) or the City of Kitchener (Saturdays) has closed city facilities including arenas. If either city does decide to close the arenas, we will post this on the home page of our website and our Facebook page by 5:30 pm on Mondays and by 3 pm on Saturdays. You can also call the arenas at any time on a game night to find out if the facility is open.

How much do you know about your CARHA league insurance?
There are a lot of questions about what the medical insurance for league players does and does not cover. For example, did you know that you have no dental injury coverage through our CARHA insurance if you are not wearing a mouthguard?
To learn more, check out the Insurance section of our website (under the Pages tab at the top) and the linked CARHA document there that explains it all!
