Smithsburg Little Sluggers January Meeting Minutes

• Attendees: Travis Hoffman, Steve Pitsnogle, Greg Smith, Rachel Malagari, Laurie Shifler, Nick Petkovic, Bonnie Mittag, Rick Kropka(??), Bob Hahn, Bryan Pitsnogle.

• Meeting was held at Smithsburg Fire Hall on January 3, 2023 at 6 pm

• Announcements: Nick thanked everyone that help with the 3 families we

  sponsor for Christmas.

• Approve of Minutes:
  Meeting minutes were approved for December: Greg made a motion to approve and was 2nd by Travis.

• Treasure’ s report:
  All bills are current. We need to pay for League insurance, we will use Last spring numbers and can add as needed, Total cost is $2298.00 Greg made a motion to approve the Treasure’s report and was 2nd by Travis.

• Grounds:
  Greg is getting pricing for screens for the dugouts at Callas, also on a higher screen to help shield the sun coming from 3rd base side which makes play hard for the 1st basemen. Travis is going to call town about rock at Veterans Park. Black Rock is an option for another practice field.

• Player Agent:
  Jake resigned, Travis has been filling in, it was Voted on that Travis is Player agent. Registration is up and running, 2 families have signed up as today. Greg is ordering signs to put out for registration.

• Equipment:
  Baseballs have been ordered, need sizes for softballs so they can be

  ordered. Jess turned in all softball equipment. For spring we need dirt and sod at Lion’s club. Other fields will need dirt.

• Concession:
  Greg is working on pricing of 2 new fryers, we will have at least 1 new fryer, but the hope is we will have 2 new ones. Laurie renewed the healthy department license. They will be in contact to let us know what needs done for us to be up and running for spring. Greg is looking to trying to electric donated and run from shed at callas to Concession
