By now you have probably seen a fair amount of information regarding the start of the upcoming season for our association. Our intent is to provide timely and informative communication to ensure that you as parents are able to manage your busy schedules as easy as possible.
As the new President of the Association, along with the executive team members, our ultimate goal is to ensure that we provide a program for North East kids to learn and love the game of hockey. That is a fairly common goal you may think ... and it is!! But it is what goes into achieving that goal that makes the difference.
In the next few weeks we will be sending out a survey to our parents to gain your feedback on a some items. This will help us in determining what we are doing well and what areas need to be changed/improved. This feedback is important to us, so please take the time to complete the survey. Once all feedback is collected we will share the general results.
Volunteers and Coaches
‘There is no I in Team ... but we sure are glad there is U in our volunteers!!’ Now that is pretty tacky I know ... but it is very true. We need your help in making the association great. One of the most underestimated things is the value that offering your time provides to making a difference. There are a number of volunteer positions that we need each and every year including:
Please consider this request and if you are able to spare the time ... it will make a difference!
Hockey Learning Program
We will be following a hockey learning program designed to ensure that all levels of our association from IP to Midget have a program that is based on continuity and progression. The program is designed to ensure that the specific skills required at each level are coached and developed. It will provide the framework in which our association can ensure that our Volunteer coaches and kids get the learning and tools they need to learn and love the game of hockey. More details will be provided in the coming months.
See you at the rink!!
