I believe the kids would learn a lot more if we were to practice a little more during the upcoming season.

Last season, there was no time to practice with 3-4 games scheduled per week. If the goal is to teach the kids and make them better players, the schedule is not set up to do that.

I must assume you are talking about the Barberton leagues which did play their games 3-4 times a week. It is a catch-22 situation. A lot of coaches think game situations is the best way to teach players the fundamentals of the game. I personally believe you have to take the time to work individually with each player to work on any areas they need to improve on. You can only achieve this at practices.
