Both the 35+ and 44+ BVB 49ers squads competed in the CNOBF championship. The 35+ squad landed a berth in the final vs. Tillsonburg. With a hard fought game, the 49ers took the title with a 4-1 game finish. This is the 3rd Tier1 title for BVB in the CNOBF circuit (1st in 2007-Red Deer & 2nd in 2008-Hamilton. Congratulations to the 35+ team and for both squads representing Burlington in the Canadian Nationals.

Our boys played well but were unable to bring home another championship.

Game #1 - Lost 4 to 2 vs. The Alpines

Game #2 - Won 10 to 4 vs. Regina Drifters

Game #3 - Lost 6 to 5 vs. Yarmouth (Who would go on to be crowned Tier 1 Champs)

Lost 6 to 3 to eventual Tier 2 Champs Regina Drifters

To our older members, there is an opportunity for the CNOBF to place a team but they want to gauge interest in going to these games before any decisions are made. Here is the information;

The World Masters Games are being held April 21-30,2017 in Auckland, New Zealand.

The CNOBF is seriously considering sending a Canadian 45+ or 55+ team depending on interest.  You must be at least 45+ or 55+ by Dec 31,2017.  If you are interested in playing for Canada, please contact Rich Knight ( richknight15@gmail.com ) or Greg McEachern ( mceachern41@gmail.com ).

Update!!!

Congratulations are in order for both of our teams as the BVB 49ers in both the 35+ and 43+ were crowned Co-Champions as both made it to the Finals but both Finals games were washed out due to intense Rain.

Once again, we have shown that when we combine our forces, we are able to achieve great things!

Congratulations to all our players and especially our Managers: Russ Perreira and Mike Gionas for the 35+ and Dan Pokoradi & Craig Carroll for the 43+.
