Baseball Travel Teams 

What is North Stars Travel Baseball?

The North Star Competitive Travel Baseball program provides additional opportunities for interior Alaska youth baseball players to continue to advance their skills by practicing and playing more baseball in addition to their Interior Baseball League affiliation.

Is my athlete eligible for assessments?

North Stars Travel Baseball is available for all registered Interior Baseball League Mustang (ages 9-10), Bronco (ages 11-12), and Pony (ages 13-14) Players for the 2020 season.

When and Where are assessments?

Assessments for North Stars Baseball team placement typically occur in mid May just after the start of the Interior Baseball League regular season, weather and field dependent. 
                               

What is the Time Commitment?

Practices will typically be held on the weekend before a tournament trip, then depart on the next Friday, as noted below. Other practices and games will be scheduled to NOT conflict with the Interior Baseball League practice and game schedule, and at the discretion of the Head Coach.  

How about the Financial Commitment?

Player tuition for this program remains at $275.00. Player tuition pays for uniforms (excluding pants), baseballs, tournament fees, team gear. Travel expenses are NOT included in this fee.    

What gear does the Player need to provide?

Athletes are to provide their own practice pants (gray), game pants (white), cleats, glove, bat, and any other equipment items they would like to bring to the ballfield. 

Are there Tournament Weekends (As follows, or similar)?

There are several summer tournaments that the North Stars program either participates in or hosts in Fairbanks. Schedule TBA. **Below is the tournament schedule for 2020 to give you a general idea of what the season may look like.
