Playoffs Preview

The playoff picture looks wide open this season as every team has a chance to win the championship. In the Wednesday Division, the top 3 seeds are almost dead even. #1 Super Sonics started the season strong but lost some games towards the end. They have guys like Josh Lee and Eric Tran who can put up numbers. Like Sonic the Hedgehog, this team is lightning quick and has a lot of flash. #2 Ball So Hard are set to make a deep playoff run with their momentum from the regular season. Mike Yoo leads the team in scoring and can hit big shots anywhere on the court. Size, rebounding, and defense will carry this team into the finals. #3 Lilburners also had a strong regular season and are favorites to win it all. Shun Gokita leads the team in every statistical category, quietly showing why he is one of the best. Other guards like Peter Pham and David Seo also contribute to the team's success. #4 RPM struggled this season when playing top teams in the league. Big man Johnny Hughes leads them in scoring and rebounding. If this team can find an identity and play team ball, they can make a run in the playoffs. #5 Push had a pretty successful season considering their unstable roster. Core guys like Kevin Nguyen, Jay Dinh, and Met Tang continue to push the team to victories. Push are the defending champs, and will remain so until someone else takes it. #6 Double 'Free' Agents had some heartbreaking losses this season. They failed to close out games and lost a few tight ones. Nonetheless they have guys who are aggressive and play hard. If they maintain their poise and believe in each other, they can win in the playoffs.
In the Thursday Division, #1 Teddy Bears are once again the favorites with their poise and experience, although they lack depth during the regular season. Bo Noung continues to lead them in scoring, Thomas Byrd anchors the paint, and Timmy Dam plays quarterback. Teddy Bears are an older team but their basketball IQ is unmatched. After winning so many championships and the Asian Basketball Tournament recently, the name Teddy Bears instills fear in opposing teams. #2 Swishers are a dynamic and athletic team capable of going deep in the playoffs. They have guys like Tri Nugyen who can shoot 3's and hit big shots, while Zachary Antoine leads them in almost every statistical category. Tougher defense and physical play inside will carry this team over the top. #3 Bieber Fever are also in the mix with their strong team and individual play. Alex Lee leads them in scoring and Michael Gong in rebounds, while other players also contribute in shooting and defense. More execution and consistency could turn them into a elite team. #4 Rosco Monsters had an up-and-down season with alternating wins and losses. They have good size and rebounding in the paint, and guards who can hit big shots. If they execute better they are capable of making a run in the playoffs. #5 New Kids battled all season until finally winning a game at the end. Players like Ben Choi and Kar Ou can put up numbers, and everyone else plays hard. With more rebounding and defense they can surprise in the playoffs. #6 Wings n McRibs struggled all season but have accurate shooters with range. If they can sustain a high level of play they can also win.
