CNOBF 2025 AGM / COACHES MEETING- MINUTES 

 

Thursday July 31st 

 

Tim Lessard started the AGM on time 7:30 

Location Hunter Ale House

 

Roll Call 

24 Teams out of 25 Teams where in attendance 

Regrets - Halifax Mets, who contacted CNOBF EXECUTIVE and let them know unfortunately he could not attend

 

President Tim Lessard welcomed and thanked teams for taking the times to attend the AGM and COACHES MEETING 

 

Message from Host - Alf Blanchard 

 

- Alf thanked all teams for showing up and went through the events planned starting Friday with a Baseball Trivia night at The Factory Downtown, start at 9 pm

then Saturday night Playoff Party at the Charlottetown Beer Garden Seafood Patio starting at 6 pm

Alf also reminded Reps to remind their Team members if they ordered “SWAG” to pick it up at “Ladner’s Source for Sports “

 

2025 - Financial Report -Rich Knight

 

Revenues from Team Fees - $26,000

So far Expenses $21,610.53, includes Host Portion

With a detailed breakdown of those expenses

CNOBF - 2026 - Blair Hanna

 

- Blair let everyone know how excited he is to host CNOBF 2026 in Red Deer but he said there was a stipulation that CNOBF would include the first ever 70+ Division- Blair stated himself and Rich Knight would get together and set up some Rules, etc. 

Blair is hoping to get 4 Teams from  East, Central and Weatern Canada

 

Open Forum

 

- Kris O’Brien let everyone know how difficult the experience it is for the host to maintain a budget for their 50% of the revenues taken in from Teams, Kris let all teams know, Kris felt the Team entry fee should increase to $1,250 per team.

COACHES MEETING 

 

Tim Lessard reminded all teams

 

-Tournament Score Keeping  

Reporting Scores -with innings played

Alf Blanchard handed out copies with whom to call

-Tim Lessard reminded teams they received 8 Baseballs and each team to hand 2 baseballs each to the Umpires for each game

-Umpires - Tim Lessard told all Teams that without them (the umpires) there would be no games, and a player ejected would automatically be suspended for one game

Alf Blanchard mentioned that some of our rules maybe interpreted differently by the umpires especially in the 60+ group and if we could discuss prior to the games it would be very helpful 

 

Playoff Party -

All Sunday playoff games will be announced then

Schedule / Parks to play in  

will be announced there first

*Also noted Sunday’s playoff games may change parks
