Coventry Cleanup 2016

What a fantastic day organized by Brad Young and Councilor Chris Ross!

Our estimates are approximately 70 people arriving between 8am and 11am, including at least 25 children.  The Tottenham Oldtimers were well represented but we also had members from the Ladies League and Sunday night Men's League in attendance.

With so many people, the work was completed quickly and we completely filled the garbage bin behind the pavilion, and then some!

Gord Dol brought a tractor from his business that allowed us to run garbage from all over Coventry to the bin and was huge saver of time and our backs!

In addition to bags and bags and bags of garbage, we also disposed of 2 couches and a dishwasher.

We once again demonstrated the finest example of community spirit by chipping in, and then many folks (40ish) returned to the Legion for bar-b-q.  Our appreciate to the Legion for accommodating us on short order, special shout outs of thanks to Gary Brown and Donna Chamberlain.

But that wasn't all.  We had two kind donations from great league contributors.  David Polny donated a pair of tickets for the Jays Vs Oakland game on Sunday Apr 24th.  Those were won by raffle by Brad Moye who has already txt'd from the game saying that it was great time!  Then we had an authentic Marcus Stroman jersey won by rookie David Connolly's daughter.  Luckiest grade 7 student in the Greater Tottenham Area (GTA).
