I received mixes reviews on the game but heard overall we played pretty well. The 3-2 halftime lead slipped away late I was told, with the final being 4-3 them. Sounds like I missed a tough battle. Well this Wednesday night we should be playing the first place U12 Sound Beach Pride so whoever's night it is to play, you all better plan on bringing everything you have. |

January 10, 2007 10:42:03 PM Entry ID: 1029490 | Well boys I want to Congratulate all of you for receiving the BRONZE CHEVRON AWARD for displaying good sportsmanship during the 2006 Fall season. Your parents also deserve credit for their behavior on the sidelines as well. So you all know the 5 items that determine your sportsmanship points at each game are: Cooperation Of Players 1-10, Cooperation Of Coaches 1-10, Cooperation Of Fans 1-10, Overall Game Conduct 1-10 and Players Appearance 1-5. I have not been given the final overall standings for our division and have not seen them posted as of yet. All I know is the Lawn Dawgs won Bronze. Good job everyone !! |

I would like to WELCOME Will Slattery and his Family to the Lawn Dawgs team !!!! I hope practice went well for you Will ( it is always good to get that first one out of the way ) For those who were not present. Will has joined us from the DH Warriors. Will, to myself and others on our team, has always been a Stand Out Keeper everytime we have played against his former team. I am glad that both he and his family have decided to join our team. I am looking forward to a great spring season with Will as a new addition to the Lawn Dawgs !!!! |

I will say this though, upon looking at the results of the times you boys ran the course in. I was very very very surprised at some of your times in both directions. I am not sure if some guys just did great or some guys just did poorly but I will have the results at next practice and I fully expect to see some differences in the next set of results. |

December 22, 2006 11:43:43 PM Entry ID: 1020883 | Parents of the Falcons/Lawn Dawgs, now that both teams have had their practices this week I would like to explain ( in case it got lost in the translation ) the reason behind the Thank You cards I got for your sons to fill out for you. I started thinking about how fortunate all of the boys are having your support, your constant running around, the money spent, the long weekends spent at tournaments and I wanted to take some time with the boys to just kind of point these things out. After all they probably don't give it much thought at their age, it is just normal to them. After speaking to the boys and telling them the story of my early soccer days I asked them if they thought it was a good idea for them to just write a little thank you to you, their parents ( they all said yeah ). Hopefully you all liked them. Even though we all have many differences and some of us don't always see eye to eye I personally feel these boys are all very fortunate to have you for parents and for the support you all give to them. I hope one day they look back and are thankful for all that you do. I hope I could in someway help them be more then just good soccer players. I hope everyone enjoyed the season the boys truly played great ! |

December 10, 2006 8:35:19 PM Entry ID: 1013015 | What a great weekend of soccer you guys played ! I know you guys really wanted to end with a win over the Devils but let me just tell you this. One of our parents in a friendly manner said to their parents " you got lucky in this one " and you know what their response was ? " Your right, you guys definitely out played us ". Doesn't change the score but it is nice to get the respect that all your hard work deserves. I must compliment AJ on a break-out day today. Your play and effort was awesome AJ. 3 goals in 2 games at this level against these teams was definitely impressive. Great job kid, keep it up. I will not mention each and every player in this post like yesterday ( takes too long...lol ) but a few I have too. Nas, you played spectacular at center midfield. Unbelievable display you put on this weekend ! Jonathan and Nicolas, excellent defense in the 2nd game. When I was watching them play the game before us 2 things stood out to me about their wingers. They were extremely fast and extremely physical. I said to myself that the speed alone on the BIG field could cause us a major problem so I made the decision to go with you 2 guys on left and right defense and it worked out very very well. Nolan you gave it your all once again and for that I am proud of you and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind we will beat them so just keep fighting, it will happen. Have to mention the return of " The Sleeper ", Marmo finished off a Fiorella cross for a goal in the first one and AD Lugo gets a ton of credit on the assist that AJ finished off. Great hustle Zachinator ! The passing, the overlapping were all so nice to see, especially for the first weekend on the big field. I will tell you I am very excited to start playing 11 v 11 on a regular basis based on what you boys showed this weekend. Be proud of yourselves because I sure am !!!!! |
