My Playoff prediction went downward the last time. Missing two picks meant my crystal ball is no longer reliable and needs to be upgraded to OS version 4.3 as well. What we are sure this time is that at the end of Season 12, there will be a new King of the Hill...Last week's games brought shockwave to the league. The defending champion Jazz has been dethroned by streaking Bucks while the heavily favored Orlando was run out of magic against dangerous Blazers. We are now down to two teams who will be battling it out for the right to face the top seeded Pacers.... Blazers (3) vs. Bucks(5) ---Of the three games held last Friday, the battle between the Jazz and Bucks for me is the most thrilling one. Trailing most of the first half, the Bucks reconfigured themselves after 20 minutes of play. They installed a rugged defense on John and Joel and let the other Jazz players beat them on the perimeter. That worked wonders for them as they climb back from a deficit. They also got couple of big plays from the inside courtesy of their main man Andrew. Jazz lacked the size so the Bucks capitalized on it. On the other game, the Blazers was on a mission from the very start. They seems like a raging bull from the opening tip as they held on the early big lead which they didn't reliquish up to the end. That time, they seems figured out when to go to The Diesel and when to fire from the outside. Their interior and perimeter defense were also exceptional as they keep on hustling every possesion that Magic had then. The tale of the tape says that Bucks have a bit advantage as they have a complete arsenal of players who can take over a game. If you cancel out the game of the leading scorer of each team (Arnel and Andrew), you'll still find out that the Bucks are ahead of the Blazers. But basketball is a team game and every player from respective teams is inspired by their leader. This department is where the Blazers have an advantage. Wherever the Diesel go, so as the team. With his inspired game as of late, he can rub off his teamates. This is also the key to Bucks success. When they limit Arnel's inside game, they also stopped 50% of Blazers operation. If this happened, somebody from Blazers should take the cudgel (maybe another go to guy in the presence of ROMY???). Bucks is very dangerous from outside. In hussle department, both teams are equal. Yong and Edward are leaders on this area. The guards of Bucks have slight edge from their counterpart. Carlo can shoot the lights out but Joy is ready for that. Whichever team plays a good perimeter defense will win the game. Bucks have the firepower to get the job done but I doubt if that power is enough to overcome Superman! ---Advantage: Blazers Signing Out, Torero

The more than two months of "practice games" for all the teams have just been ended. This resulted to a team that matches three former champions teams with only one loss during regular season (minimum 5 games) while a struggling team also matches two previous "Jurassic" teams that never won any single game. Overall, the regular season games were competitive and interesting with every team aiming to dethrone the defending champion Utah Jazz. This is the March Madness version of LigaLeague where Bracketology is the main subject. Brace for yourself as real battle begins... Pacers (1st) vs. Hawks (6th) - Miracle do happens sometimes but the Hawks need it twice to make it up for the embarassing 12th Season against the high-octaine, high-powered, well-oiled offensive/defensive machine that Pacers is using. Actually, Hawks may have been won half of it's games if they only knew how to maintain their leads. They wished that the game should be played only for 20 minutes coz they were leading most of their games at half-time but being washed out by tsunami-like breakdown at end games. On the other hand, the Pacers are very impressive on their games by defeating all teams by an average of around 12.0 ppg. Hawks should step up on their perimeter defense, control the boards and limit their turnovers (highest in the league) to have a chance while the Pacers should stick to their half-court, methodical offense and stinging defense. Advantage: Pacers ***** Jazz (2nd) vs. Bucks (5th) - This is one of the two interesting matches that we have in the Playoffs. Though the ranking suggests that Jazz is indeed ahead against the Bucks, the lineup is saying otherwise. Many witnessed in disbelief that the Bucks, who have a solid lineup on every position is only at No. 5 after 2nd round. With only one player change and an upgrade on the 2 spot at the end of last season, chemistry should not be an issue this time. Heavily favored to win last season, they might still lingering the tough loss they got which is the reason why they are playing below average games as of late. In contrast, very few expected the Jazz to dominate Season 11. Thanks to their two all-around guards who averages more than 15 ppg. Their lineup is still intact so nothing changes with the way they play. Except for the unexpected loss on their initial outing, they are still dangerous on the open court. The Bucks should know how to limit the damage that the two guards can create on them. This has been proven by the Pacers, who the Jazz hasn't yet to beat this season. Boxing out the big men of Jazz is another thing. Solving this two puzzles may increased their chance of redeeming themselves. Jazz should continue to push the ball realizing that they have an advantage on the back court. This also will increase their chance of visiting the foul line. If their back court has been checked, the rest should step up specifically on the inside. They also need to keep in mind that the Bucks has now couple of shooters that will keep on sniping when left open. The Bucks are considered the dangerous team while the Jazz will do everything to defend their title. Advantage: Jazz ***** Trailblazers (3rd) vs. Magic (4th) - This is the other interesting match up that I am talking about earlier. The Magic prevented a new record by giving the league-leading Indiana Pacers their only loss of the regular season. They're also the one who battled the Pacers to a double overtime game in which they almost won, no thanks to the last second boo boo they have committed. Nevertheless, the Magic is the hottest team entering the Playoffs. They defeated the Pacers and Trailblazers on their last two games. They have a solid lineup composed of inside and outside players. Their confidence is skyrocketing right now. Speaking of confidence, this is what the Trailblazers need right now. They have difficulties in playing with top seed teams as evidence by their losses. It seems that the Diesel's team hasn't yet find the right formula for consistencies. Having a three big bodies who can wear down the Diesel is an advantage that the Magic is having. We all know that the Trailblazers offense originates from the inside. The Magic's perimeter offense should come full force to make it easier for them to open up their bigs. Trailblazers should be consistent with their outside shots to lessen the pressure on their big men. Their running game should be reactivated as well. They have an edge on this battle front. With the way they are playing as of late, the Magic will be hard to beat unless a new meltdown is bound to happen again. The Trailblazers should put their acts together by stepping up their defense to salvage a mediocre season. Advantage: Magic ***** Signing Out, Torero
