Congrats , although i didn't get to watch alot of the game because we had diffent times, i saw the one that really counted , the great played final. Guys I could write about each and everyone of you at length because of the outstanding play you showed out there this weekend BUT I have decided that really isn't needed. You all know how great you played, your parents all know how great you played, I know how great you played and most certainly the competitions know's how great you played. You guys made a name for yourselves in several different states, because when those teams that we faced go back to where they live, you can bet the Deer Park Lawn Dawgs are going to be talked about for some time. If I had to narrow my comments down to one single topic then I would have to say that the absolute most impressive thing about the way you boys played in ALL 6 games this weekend was, "TEAMWORK" without a doubt. This was, to date, the greatest display of TEAMWORK that we have ever performed, EVER !!!! You ALL stepped it up this weekend, everyone of you! Let me tell you this also. This championship win was especially satisfying because there was some serious teams you guys faced out there. 2 out of the 6 games I would have to say we were at a higher level of play then the other teams BUT 4 out of the 6 games were battles. We only lost 1 of those battles (in the preliminary round) to the team we would eventually face and defeat in the finals. Guys I will tell you this, you all made me VERY VERY proud to be your Coach. I can not say enough about the way you played as a team or how proud of all of you that I am. I will never forget this one. As far as excitement goes this just barely edges out the HBC shootout tournament. Both will never be forgotten !!!!!! |

When ever you can walk off of any field of play knowing that you left it all out there on the field like you guys did today, well then be proud of yourselves and just tip your hat to the other team. 1 unfortunate play was the difference today. I am proud to be your coach and very proud to see how far you have ALL come since we have been together. I will try to post game results later tonight. |

| Coach May 12, 2006 6:40:20 AM Entry ID: 839496 | Good scrimmage last night boys !!!! We controlled the ball 95% of the time and only allowed 2 shots on goal. Keep up the good work. Too our forwards, do whatever you have to do to practice putting more shots on net, WHEN we get that worked out there are going to be a lot of shocked teams out there especially the way you guys have been showing such great possession of the ball. Don't forget our agreement, you WIN saturday I run 5 laps at Birchwood BUT if you don't, you ALL run 5 laps at Birchwood. Believe me I hope it is me that is doing the running !!! |
