| Coach Joe January 23, 2011 11:01:09 PM Entry ID: 1860236 | To the guys that played up in the BU16 bracket today in the Clarkstown event I must say you did very well. We only allowed just 2 GA in 5 games which was the least amount by any team participating. We went .500 on the day 2-2-1 both teams we lost to we lost 0-1 but then we also beat those two teams 1-0 and 2-0 so to me that was a great result especially playing up. I would like to thank Nia and Marley for helping to make this happen for those on our team that did want to play because without them we would not have had enough players. On a personal note though I just have to say I think Marley is just a great great person. His personality and the way he conducts himself is just awesome, lots of fun to be around. I also loved the way he and Nia attack the game. Thank You again for playing with the Dawgs and for playing as hard as you both did. Too bad your both true U16 players though ;) Did I mention just 2 goals against ? That was impressive. |

Savas, Ethan and Anthony all deserve credit for being part of their School team's first ever undefeated season. Way to go guys. Proud of you guys. |
| Coach Joe December 2, 2010 10:27:22 AM Entry ID: 1849968 | I wanted to congratulate our own Anthony Fiorella for receiving his High School's Sportsmanship award for Soccer during the HHH West awards night. Knowing Anthony and his family as long as I have had the pleasure too, I can honestly say I am not surprised one bit by this. Anthony has always had the ability to be a fierce competitor while being the ultimate sportsman and should be congratulated for that because that is definitely not an easy thing to do. Congrats Anthony and once again I am proud of our Captain !!!!! |

Having said that, this TEAM is playing awesome and is just a pleasure to watch. Granted there is always room for improvement but you boys are well on your way. Game Results are posted................Ohhhhhhhh and Craig..............They manned Up big time. Game could have been 8-1. The speed at which this game was played at and the passing was just sick. |

| Coach Joe August 29, 2010 8:45:15 PM Entry ID: 1821193 | Boys considering this was this group's first 4 games together I can honestly say I was very pleased with what I saw. There are obviously things we will need to work on but almost all are completely fixable. I think this weekend's games were a really good foundation for us to build on. We managed to score 10 GF and only allowed 4 GA. This weekend's goal scorers were, Chris-3, Justin L.-2, AJ-2, Ethan M.-1, Greg-1 & Anthony-1. Very nice part about it was the fact that the goals came from that many different players. There were some great assists also, although I do not have them all the one's that stand out are Lawrence's cross to Chris for the header, Greg's free kick to Justin's header, Anthony's cross to Chris for the finish, Chris's corner kick that Justin L. hit on the volley and Chris's flick on that Anthony ran onto to score the weekend's nicest goal in my opinion. I hope everyone enjoyed the event and although we fell short in the final, hope you came away feeling good about the potential that was shown by the boys this weekend. |

| Coach Joe July 13, 2010 10:18:11 AM Entry ID: 1806771 | It has taken a long time for this to sink in and to be as honest as I can be, until now, I was without words because I really had no clue what to say. This player had been with the team since the very beginning and is the type of talent professional teams build around. So that is why this has been especially hard in accepting his departure/break from the team, along with his wonderful family. I guess there were lots of reasons why this came about of which I will only address 1. The fact that I believe I as his coach was failing him as a player by being unable to help him reach his true potential. With his God given ability I can honestly say I look at him and see a potential professional player. I pray that someday I am right. It is very hard to put into words how much I care about this player and his family so I will just hope that deep down they know. Nkosi, I wish more success for you on and off the field in life then you could ever know. As much as you and I butted heads, I hope you yourself know, you are like a son to me and that is how I always view you. I did the things I did because I wanted you to be the best you could possibly be. I hope someday you realize that. Furthermore I hope one day you rejoin your team. No one other then Nkosi will ever wear the #10 on the Lawn Dawgs. |

I just want to reiterate that without the help of Coach Joe and many of you he wouldn't be the player/teamate he is today. Unfortunately things happen in life where tough choices need to be made and this is one of those times. Nkosi was, is & will always be a DAWG at heart because he knows no other team in his life.
